Any photographers in here?

Thanks! That photo was published in the Washington Post, USA Today, Newsweek, and MSNBC's Week in Photos. It was also considered for the cover of a new book published by National Geographic but another layout was chosen.

That's killer work man. What are you using for white balance settings in your color shots?

In Iraq I would use auto. Most other times I manually adjust it but at the pace we move around over there is is just much easier to use auto white balance and either program or aperture priority.

Thanks! Yea I want to PS out those reeds as well. I actually had to do take out a lot like there were two people on the beach in the right side and some of the reeds went across her face.

The shot from Iraq is barely Photoshoped. Just a few Level adjustments and some dodging and burning.

I think that is the best photo on your flickr as well. The shots you took from Iraq were very photojournalistic..I like it.

Only if I can take your MS3 for a spin! Hahaha!

Hey, if you've got the time, feel free to pop on up to Penn State sometime next month before I'm out of here. Not to bad of a drive from where you are and it'll be a nice way to get away and party it up. Let me know if you're interested...

I actually hate having my picture taken.... but I thought I'd share a rare shot of me in action! This was on Sunday at the Santa Rosa Plateau reserve in Murrieta, CA. Can't see it from this angle, but it's a 40D with a 70-200 f/2.8L IS attached. :)

Sounds like a plan! I wont be in PA until around Apr 15th or so. I will let ya know when I am back. Do you have your Sport 20 up there?

haha keeep dreamin... but hey ill drive you around in it, that do anything for you?

Hahaha I was only kidding. I only let a select few drive my car as well. I have some ideas that would require multiple people/cars so we can try them out then.

I'm not a big fan of nature/landscape backgrounds for cars but the owner thought it would be good for the Grand Prix calendar.

Hell yeah I do! I graduate in early May, so if you can squeeze in a trip somewhere before that, feel free... And unlike some people, I'll probably let you take her for a spin... (assuming she's running alright... lol)

Beautiful, where did you take that? Reminds me of Black Moshannon State Park up in these parts...

No clue, really. The owner drove up somewhere in the Lebanon, PA area and pulled off to the side.

Awesome! I would love to take some shots of my P5 and your Sport-20 next to each other!

Thats a great shot man! Did you darken the sky? The reflected sky in the car juuuust doesn't seem to match to me.

LOVE your shots of your MS MX5! Great color!

Do you use flashes set up like studio strobes?

Yeah, I did a mild HDR to bring out the colors of the trees in the background. The sky just came out dark like that.

Most of the MSM shots are with natural light. I've only taken a few with speedlites.

Some recent shots of my Arabian mare, Kharlha. I cannot believe she will be 20 years old in June. :( I've had her for over a decade... wow.

All the shots can be found here and here, but here are my favorites...

They aren't the greatest shots... but I am so rusty when it comes to taking horse photos.
