how does the rear antenna base come out/off?

does it require working from the inside above the headliner? i need to have my roof re-cleared and i'd rather remove it than have it masked...

Remove from inside. Take off the 3 clips on the back of the headliner and pull it down to get to the antenna.

thanks! can this typically be done w/o breaking the clips or anything like that? you know how some clips can be touchy! my body shop guy seemed a bit leery about taking stuff out above headliners (but he didn't study my setup since it was a quick stop over on easter sunday).

Its not easy removing the clips from that headliner. I had to drop mine down as well when i wanted to put my sirius antenna cable through the same hold to hide it in my sharkfin.

How were you able to hide the sirius antenna under the sharkfin? I'm trying to do it now and it seems to me that I need to get a smaller sirius antenna as the one installed wouldn't fit.
The way I tried to put it now is I would place sirius antenna in front of stock antenna base. Thanks.
