offers powdercoating wheel service in the Atlanta area? Within the next few weeks, I plan on dropping my ride and was wanting to get my stock rims powdercoated as well. Thanks!

Miller Powdercoating in Lilbun
I have also been told that the guy that runs Dynolab does powdercoating as well
I've seen some good work by a place up in Cumming or somewhere around there but I'd have to dig to find their name
Also, I have never seen work from this place but I saw a powdercoating place over in Duluth-ish area by the big Statewide towing lot

i miight know somebody. what color are you wanting? theyre located in athens.

Thanks guys for the places and suggestions, really appreciate it (cool).
Did you get the damage on the p5 fixed yet?

I'm taking it into the shop next week to get it all fixed, there was actually more damage to the body of the car done internally in the back than I had thought. Right behind the spare tire in the back, it got crunched pretty bad from the impact, so it's all gotta be straightened back out along along with the brackets and all that reinforce the bumper. I can't wait to get the huge dent off the car, it's been too long lol(headbang)

let me talk to the guy i know and see what he says. willing to drive to athens?

Yeah I can make a drive to athens, only about 30 mins from my place. Does he do it himself or have some sort of shop he'll be putting it in?

You know...you could save yourself a few bucks and just paint them yourself....It's fairly easy to do...and very inexpensive. I did it to the Miata.

I was thinking of getting the RH's painted like a gunmetal or dark silver... like darker than the stock 03.5's. Then again, dark rims and Spicy Oranges is ALWAYS done. What would be a good color to paint those?

(Off topic, sorry. Any ideas about fog light cover colors?)

My brother had tried to do his rims himself on his '00 Camaro SS to paint them black, and I helped him with it and it didn't come out too hot, so I don't know about trying to paint the wheels myself again...lol. I've been reading about the durability and the time length of powdercoating staying at a good quality is really nice. I also like the look of it a lot as well.

Did you prep the wheels prior to painting?
Aircraft/metal stripper
Sand paper
Primer
etc.?

All those things need to be done before you can even start painting.

not to threadjack, but OMG, Phil, how are you doing??? Still overseas I see...

Still alive & still raising hell...lol. yep, still overseas...hope to head back stateside next year....I won't be alone though...tieing the knot with a Turkish chic :D
