Just put springs for now if you wanna go cheap. Then when it gets too bouncy, upgrade the shocks. Coilovers are expensive.

And ya, they're pretty light.

that's what I had on my p5 and I definitely loved them.

Just FYI it's hard to keep them in good condition because they are flush with the tire, so drive careful. You won't belief how hard it is to find Mint condition ones.

also, Tokico blue with H&R spring will give you a best lowering.

22lbs is not light....It's hard for me to justify getting the MSP rims for a 6 pound increase in unsprung wheel weight per corner...

so ive heard. the guy put a smaller tire on then i wanted. the original's on there had a thicker sidewall. i dont think the guy at the shop read it right. o well. the are mine now. the handling is a bit different. it tends to turn hella quicker. if anyone has a set of those tokico shocks/springs pm me.
my old rims will be on here for sale this weekend too.

you sure? cause the "chrome" ones are actually steel, and have chrome plating followed by a clearcoat. i was under the assumption that the msp's were an alloy of sorts, aluminum? magnesium? something.

+1 they're definitely heavy. I've had a set for almost two years now and I love how they look on the P5 ('03s just like yours) but they sure are heavy and I definitely noticed the acceleration less. There was a handling performance increase though which is always good. Looks good though man. I'm glad you went with the lighter colored '03s - I've always though they looked better.

The P5 2002 stock rims only weigh 16lbs...The MSP rims weigh around 22lbs

I don't know how much the 2003 P5 stock rims weigh...especially the crome ones......The racing harts are NOT magnesium, aluminum, or forged..they're just plain OEM rims made by Enkei.....

Looks great. I was toying with the idea of these back in the day also, but like so many others the weight killed it for me. Rims I went with instead are <16lbs vs the 22lbs of the racing harts... yikes!

Same wheel, different color. Definitely heavier than my '02 chromies. I think different year P5s had different wheels and I know some where heavier than others. I know the '02 chrome wheels are approx. 16 lbs each.

The Racingharts are polished, not brushed, and clearcoated. but, you have any idea how long it would take to buff/polish steel wheel like that? and a magnet dosent stick to them. which makes me wonder......

They are a cast aluminum alloy...made by Enkei..They are NOT produced by Racing Hart...and they are heavy as far as 17" rims are concerned...
