Any North Houston MS3 drivers?

New member and new MS3 owner chiming in.... 290/West-Edridge. Had the MS3 for 2 days and I can't get the grin off my face ;)

Back to what you guys were talking about....

I know those apartments well...I used to live in Steeplecrest (the nasty apartments) on the opposite side of the street to Bristol place. Wife and I ended up buying a house in the area as it has nice access to 290/Beltway...

So do any of you guys ever get together for Install Days and stuff?

I'm hoping to get a few pieces to go on the Speed3 and shooting the preverbial at the same time with others while turning wrenches is always fun!

I live in spring, like 15 minutes from the woodlands in the 1960/2920/249 area

Had one last weekend with MisterMatt and his MS3. I installed a slew of goodies, and he threw on shifter bushings & rear motor mount. Just waiting for his test pipe from Ken now...

Nothing yet! I going to have to literally sneak parts past the wife and when she hears the difference just say, "it's broken in now, they tend to loosen up and make different noises."

Thinking of picking up the Cobb SRI and maybe the vvviiibbbbrraatttinnngggg rear motor mount or at least the inserts so "hers indoors" doesn't discover it.

So do you like the shifter bushings? I'm considering picking them up as I like one of TWM's shifter knobs and thought I might as well grab these too.

One of these days I'll get something! :D

Matt

cobb sri is a noticeable increase in noise for spool up/bypassvalve so it doesnt pass the wife test

The inserts do vibrate a bit. TRZ vibrates like a SOB
I have ridden with a buddy of mine who has the CPE and it seems to be the least vibrating. again, MIGHT pass the wife test and go under the radar, if it does let me know ;)

TWM Bushings are very under the radar and do help out shifting alot. Which TWM knob are you looking at?

I'm liking the M1 Abrams but i don't think it will look very good with the shifter boot snuggled all the way up underneath it, so i'll probably go with the A6 Leopard - Both in Gun Metal or Satin...

There is also a company called FlameBall and they have some cool looking knobs (I'd stick to plain or astract and skip the light-up ones).

I helped my brother-in-law install a Hurst shifter in his 05 Mustang GT and i loved the way that shifter and shifter knob felt (round white knob) and i'd like something similar in the MS3. Unfortunately a few years ago I had a B&M STS in my Focus and my wife blames that on me blowing the tranny up. Of course, she didn't realize i did reverse donuts and burnouts daily....which is what led to the transmissions demise.

Do you know how many miles your buddy's had with his CPE MM? I've read that some of the softer mounts almost go back to 'stock' feeling after some time. I dont' want my teeth to start falling out though with the vibrations so i'll see what info I can find out about them...anything has to be better than stock, right?

Maybe i'll go with the TWM bushings and get the intake and deal with wife agg when it comes ;)

Recent divorcee,
Matt ;)

no clue how many miles on the cpe mm. I did hear it feels like stock, but I think thats gonna be the best bet for me. It HAS to be better than stock even after it breaks in. I dont want vibrations at all, but I want the motor to quit flopping around. If I can find one that someone is selling because it doesnt feel hard anymore I am gonna buy it ;)

Reason I was asking on the TWM is because I have a knob sitting on my desk that I have been debating on selling. its the TWM Stainless Classic.
Another friend of mine has the Abrams, I dont like it, but thats just me

My fiance complained that the car was too quiet, then complained when I added the Cobb sri because it was too loud and sounds liek leaves stuck in the engine lol
