and to be completly honest im not completly sold on 08.5 being the last year of the speed 3 beacuse the speed 3 has sold way better then anyother speed version. and how many years are speeds in produstion over in japan?

What hes is saying is that isn't a 2009 mazdaspeed 3. ....its an 08 with aftermarket parts on it (The wheels, Brakes, stereo,lip kit etc). After the 08.5 speeds are released there won't be any more for a few years after mazda has released a newly designed 3.

Yeah, I know that is what he is saying. I was asking if he knew the specs on the 08.5, as well as the price and release of it?

yes the MS3 has sold like wild fire BUTTTTTTT. Mazdaspeed does not sell the vehicles more then 2 years PERIOD. SOMEONE CLOSE THIS BEATEN DEAD HORSE FOR A THREAD

2009 is a new body style for the Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 family.

No one knows what the next Mazdaspeed vehicle will be. Most likely it will be the RX-8 since that one is on its way out... Don't expect a new Mazdaspeed for a couple of years maybe.

I thought that the pictures I showed at the start of this thread were how the 2008.5 version of the speed3 was if you were to go and buy one at the dealer.

For those of you who have the speed3 not the regular3 how many total miles on a full tank you average, for those of you who bothered to check?

** this is taking into consideration that affects the mpg- foot, street, hwy, etc**

I know it's a silly question but I'm just curious.

Also, any significant problems any of you had in the 1st or 2nd year with the speed3?

I'm lucky to get 285 per tank. All city, heavy foot. Why buy this car not to have a heavy foot, it's just so damn fun to drive.

Do you like the idea of getting a twin exhaust look or you're going to leave it single? That's one of the mods I definitely will be looking forward too...

I think twin exhaust pipes would be awesome!!! But no one makes one and I don't think there is room for it. The heat is pretty bad and melts things. Also, I'm a weight weenie, the more weight I strip off the car, the faster and more nimble she gets. Stock parts weigh a ton!!!

I bought the Sport model which comes with cloth. I didn't care too much for the leather inserts... Not much leather for the added expense... Looks nice though.

The only thing I wish my MS3 came with is the Nav system and the rear tailight LEDs...

It came with cloth? When I logged on to Mazdausa.com and build my vehicle it only gave you the option of leather- cloth for the 2008 wasn't available ; it was for yours?

I don't mind getting the leather which I prefer for (luxury only at first) then I hate it especially when it starts to wear and tear.... it just looks horrible in my opinion. Plus, for someone like you who minds weight the seats themselves being leather will add additional, what, 30 to 40 pounds?
