Yes I believe so. If not you have seen me, dont think we ever met though. Terry is a great guy but will talk your ear off. I just got home after a 200 mile drive in my new P5. It's awesome, and the great part of it is that the dealership (because I'm from IL and they're from IN) doesn't charge the tax. I have to pay it on my own. He assumed I'd be paying 8% on the sticker price. So when he thought I'd be paying $1656 in taxes when I get back he gave me a little discount. Also I assumed the $16.7k price was with the grad discount when he never actually included it, so that's another $500. All in all I paid $14.8 for the car. And TTL will only add up to about $1.3k so I wound up getting the exact car I wanted for only $16.1k, $400 less then what I expected. And he also threw in an extended warranty for 7 years, 100k miles. Not too bad huh.
Thanks to everyone that helped, and I'll be sure to role up with my P5 in the next meet to thank you guys in person.

I'm looking for a dealer that might be willing to sell a MS3 at invoice.
I'm selling my MR2 next month, so I'll have a decent amount to put down. I'm playing with the idea of trying to sell the MP3 outright before I go to trade her in. The only issue with that is that I want the 08.5 White MS3 which I believe won't be out until April or May. So the problem lies in selling the MP3 as close to the MS3 arriving (if I order one that is)
I'm not gonna jump the gun on the order just yet (gotta sell the idea to the wifey) and I wanna have the cash in hand for the MR2 (it's being sold to an out of state buying who's flying in next month, so it's 99.9% sold but there's that small percentage it falls through) before I order/find a dealer that will order me a white one and sell it at invoice.

I cant believe you would want to get rid of that old school mid engine rear wheel drive platform. That thing dominates my class in racing (btw I won this year if anyone cares).

well, I'm at a point in my life that I just want to have 1 car. The MR2 just doesn't get driven much (23K in 4 years compared to 30K in the mp3 in 14 months!) and I feel is a waste. I really wanted to get an 04-05 white STi but they are $ than I want to spend. Hell, the MS3 is more than I wanna spend unless I can get it at invoice. On paper it's the perfect car for me. And my 30k in the MP3 have been absolutely worry free, so I wanna stay Mazda.
Plus I have never had a new car (well, there was a 97 eclipse I had briefly, a long story) in my life, and I think I deserve one finally!
And once I found out it was gonna be available in white, i know that it's time. . .

I'm gonna wait until I have the MR2 gone and the cash in hand before I call the dealers, but that should be soon.
So, I was at the dealer (Community Mazda) this afternoon getting a lube job (along with an oil change and tire rotate) and seeing that there wasn't a customer in the place I had plenty of time to waste (ok, 30 minutes..).
I spoke with Rich Sheridan (708-444-3186) and he indicated that they may have already seen their last MS3 for the ENTIRE freakin year (I was blown away). In other words, he doesn't expect an '08.5 refresh and they probably won't be seeing any more MS3s this year unless they are able to manage something with Mazda (i.e. more MS3s in lieu of CXs,MX-5s, etc).
On that point, he said that they didn't sell any MS3 at invoice and most went either for just under or even a bit over sticker.
'08 would apparently be the last year for an MS3 (which is too bad as I would have looked to buy a new one in '09 when I'm done with grad school).
In short: good luck getting an MS3 under or at invoice.

1) There won't be any midyear refresh (even after I told him that Mazda has had a precedence in the past 5 years of doing so....)
2) I have no idea...he just said that THEIR dealer (I should have been more clear) has sold out for the year; wont' see another MS3 for the entire rest of the year...yes, all 11 more months....riiiiight.
3) 2nd Short: Go elsewhere

yah, once I have the Cash in hand from the MR2 sale, i'm gonna hit the phones and "request a quotes" sites for all the local dealers, until I find one that will work with me. . .just trying to get a head start on the search though. . .
