What have you done to your P5 today?

Sweet, that'll look good bro. I was leaning that way, but i wasnt sure how CF would look on our yellow cars.

yeah, i'm used to instrument clusters being a bit brighter than what the p5 has. I have gotten used to it now...well, it will be a bit brighter after i replace that bulb...
and yeah, i would call it an orange-ish red...
wtb [blue factory gauge lighting] pst. :D

Did the Medieval wp,ps & alt pullies. Replaced alt since it went out the other day. At least it did it before I bothered with the pullies. Nice 170.00 lump squeezed out for the alt. Oh well, at least it went out while in my garage. Impact kicked ass on the alt, craftsman 2 jaw puller kicked ass on the ps(had to use 3 different bolts shorter each time to pull the pulley back onto shaft & wp was no problem at all. Didn't have to bake the ps pulley to get it to go on, just some antiseize & a thick washer then pulled it on up in place with the bolts until flush. All lined up nice. Also pulled out the cp racing stb to check fit & see about relocating the cc down a bit. I think the battery tiedown is where the problem is gonna be doin the stb. Looks all beefy, want it on the car instead of garage ornament. Got some pics but the pc with camera dock is trippin so I'll post them later when I have time to deal with that.

So how does it feel with all the pullies installed? Do you have the crank pulley?

Replaced the stock steering wheel with this new TenzoR titanium leather steering wheel:

I will be adding a carbon fiber center ring to it soon so it will look even sexier than this! Sorry for the bad pics, lost my memory card to the digital camera.

I never did understand the point in replacing the steeting wheel other then looks.... now personally I much rather have the air bag over looks but thats just me. The wheel looks good, but like I said never really understood the point unless you have a blown air bag in the first place.

Yah. I got this for looks, because I didn't like the stock one very well, I got a great price on this one, and I race in auto/rallyX so a smaller dia. steering wheel will benefit me there.

speaking of gauges, is it just me or does everyone else think the gauges on our P5s seem not as bright as they should be? I love the orange look but i feel they could be brighter.

I agree. Anyone have a good mod for this, either make them brighter (can u use LED lights behind the gauges) what about the e-bay gauges? any one have good luck with those?

Feels good that they all went on with no issues. Haven't put all the s*** back that was undone to get alt off the car. Still futzin around with how the cp stb might fit & what issues that'll bring. Fixin to go out & finish it all up & do the test run. Not sure what I'll be able to tell until the drive cycle is complete and ecu acclimates. Also cleaned & regapped plugs the other day before the alt went out so that should figure into things a micro bit. Gap was up to about .047 or so. All else looked fine-all ashy colored, no carboned out look, no melted nothing, no burnt ring around the outside like usually happens with non long reach plugs used to get. I will post back up about how it rolls with some mid install pics later after I switch my camera dock to another PC while I fix the one it was hooked up to. Beauty to have a fleet. This is why I roll with 4 desktops, 2 laptops & spares in the closet. Computer can only inconvenience me, I control the their existence. Oh, no Brach crank pulley. I have the UR UDP already.

Pulled and replaced the front passanger door handle/lock assembly and replaced it w/ the new/used one I got from using www.car-parts.com. It was only $33 shipped and worked perfectly :D

Of course I swapped in the old lock assembly to the new handle to keep the keying the same.

all better :)

Absolutely nothing. I was supposed to install my 626 IM but I couldn't find any help and I realized it was more work than I was willing to do this weekend. I also need to find out what to do with half those vacuum nipples...

OOO, damn, that's what I didn't do to mine yet. I need to do my drvr door lock actuator. Got the part, just antsy about pulling door panel off without damaging any clips or fasteners. Getting real tired of using key to open drvr door all the time now so maybe his weekend. The alt & lightened pullies pushed me out of it this past wknd. Door panel really any problem? I have the manual so I know the fastener locations but haven't actually had it off before.

the door panels on the 3rd gens are one of the easiest to remove.... remove 6 fasteners and tug hard.... I've pulled them on either of my cars several times
