CF Hood on EBay

Don't know if anyone has seen this yet, but DG motorsports has this up on Ebay. Wished I had the cash but I have spent too much this month on my MS3, but it would be cool to have a one of a kind for the car.

It had been up on E-bay and not sold once. I guess the "mods made to the mold" make the newer ones better so why spend that much on an old version. Opening bid plus shipping is 475 already.

It said in the auction the one that was actually on the car was the newer version, so they look pretty close. The thing I would be worried most about is first above all is fitment, and then who made it to determine if the thing will last more than a year.......(doughpoke

Yeah I was looking @ the fiber images hood and think Im gonna go with the vented one. Ive always wanted a hood scoupe on the car.

I like the carbon fiber look but with the color of my car it will really stick out. Thats not bad if your looking for that look but I have seen other carbonfiber hoods that are silver instead of the dark black color. I have yet to find a manufacturer that makes them for the spd3! Anyone know of anyone that has the colored carbonfiber hoods available for our car?

You could have a body shop paint a very light coat of a ghosted silver atop of the carbon,which would lighten it up quite a bit, but still show the fiber.

yeah they have a vented version on their website.. but no pic or anything like that on there right now. And if you didnt want the CF you could get a silver kelvar one.. but that would add to the price of the hood.

edit: sorry I thought you were talking about the s t r e e t u n i t hood not the vis hoods. Those do look pretty good. I had a vis evo hood on my P5 and it looked amazing.

For sale to anyone local to Rhode Island for $400. Still $265 cheeper than the CF stock one offered by SU. If not.. im keeping it! I might keep it anyways! But figured I would see if anyone was interested.

I think their is purpose of the stock hood being heavy, Do to FWD so it will have more traction.
