damn, what a difference. the sound is so much deeper and the rumble that it makes on the street is crazy, it sounds like an sti.

i notice such a big gain as well. i just installed a clutch and flywheel recently so i cant really floor the car yet, but i still feel a big difference.

my low end is fine, not worse at all, and after 2500 rpm the car starts to pull moreand around 3500 rpm it starts pulling drastically and engine sound changes. i cant go past 4k, but i was short shifting to 4k through 2nd gear to 5th gear, and the car gets up to 80 in no time.

fidanza flywheel and the single runner intake manifold is a crazy improvement. aceleration is much faster. i think the drastic lost in power with our motors are from the stock intake manifold, they are way to restrictive.

in a couple of weeks i am going to install my splitsecond afc to lean out my ratio's. after that i should get a great gain since the car's afc's are bad.

^probably because he is breaking in the clutch and flywheel.

got any pics of the manifold?

ill take a picture of my engine bay with it installed. i should of done a comparison view between manifolds before i installed it. and yea im breaking in clutch and flywheel.

i had to tap into the cruise control vaccum line to the other sensor all the way to the left of the engine bay because the 626 manifold is missing one extra vacuum port. but other than that, it is pretty much the same as installation goes.

it is the protege garage manifold that everyone claims it only work for turbo's.

hahahahaha idiots.

Good work....I'm looking forward to seeing the gains the Split Second will give you...and if it's worth the effort...You may end up with a Microtech at the rate you're going...

Continue to push it and you'll get some decent gains....Once you get into the tuning side, you'll really see what can be done...

Any plans for any actual dynos or are we going to have to rely on your butt dyno?

Do you have any pre-manifold dynos by chance?

sweet man, congrats. Ive been watching (i think you could call it that) all you posts, or ive been seeing them everywhere, na build, all the ?'s, and this makes for a nice start! i plan on getting of these two, but first my turbo has to go in:) Did it come with instructions...prolly no? Hard to install?

Tom03es- actually i have my other manifold. its painted silver with gold bolts and vtcs out. it looks brand new, really nice intake manifold. ill sell to you for $100.00 and ill give you a thermal spacer too.

Speed5hornet- thanks i appreciate the comments. it was not that hard to install because i already took out my manifold, so things were easy to take out. if you never done it before, i recomend leaving the egr pipe on the manifold and guide the egr pipe out with it. mine was way to seized up to take it out from the angle i had when it was in the car.

the 626 manifold, in order to put the egr pipe in you have to take off the small radiator hose next to the header so you can fit it in. and you have to splice a vacuum line for the cruise control line, but other than its a pretty strait foward install.

im going to dyno the car after i get my basic maps down for my afc. the reason why i got the afc is because i think it is going to be a good combo with the mp3 ecu, hopefully the cheapest and easiest solution for our cars! ill post my maps up soon with videos of the wideband in action, but i have been talking to ken about it and i have an idea for my NA maps.

Thanks. But I'm actually de-VTCSing a spare manifold of my own right now.

Awesome man! but i was wondering when u ordered it from protege garage did u get it with the egr pipe or no because i have no idea what an egr pipe is lol

I'll have a ported and polished one of these coming my way on Saturday. I can't wait to install it!

yea i got the egr pipe for the manifold, it is needed. my ecu is starting to learn the extra air comming in. man does my car pull!

oh ight thanks ive been wanting to get that for a while but ive been wanting to get alot of things for a while now lol no money........

My interest has been peaked. We all want to see some numbers. If the numbers are significant I will buy one the next day.

i would love to dyno my car, but idk any place around here? does anybody know a place near 07722? i live in central jersey

Just go to Google search "Dynos in Central New Jersey" something should come up(dunno)
