I will start this by saying i'm not a fanboy of any paticular brand, more like a mutt.
i.e:
cobb sri,
txs exhaust,
cpe standback,
su rear engine mount.
Bell inc. core fmic.

So i spent today installing the cpe standback unit. It was easy to do, I would rather be busting my knuckles but this wire work was easy. CPE instructions were top notch. Just to tell you I called cpe about a month ago questioning them about the install. 3 days later they had sent me the instructions. The install was so much more simple than i thought it was gonna be. But i have to tell you all this...right before I cut into the first wire, i took a breath and asked myself "are you sure you want to do this" Before i knew it i had cut 4 wires and was a soldier'n fool. this is by far this is the best mod I have done period. This thing puts every other mod to shame, hands down. It took seriously like 3 hrs from to do everything. Of coarse i was bulls***'n with Ken from protege garage for like 20 min and then I took my sweet time installing the software, eating lunch. I also spent some time talking to the guy who sold it to me.
I have a 4 mile loop that i drive when ever I install a new mod. Most of you have seen it if you have seen my fmic video. But any ways....... i was able to spin the tires at like half throttle in first and second. I stopped there, before i knew it i was approaching 80 fast in a 45mph zone. I'm open to any questions and if you have a negative comment please keep it to yourself, these forums bs fighting needs to stop.

i think a pump will really allow you to take advantage of that power... Got a wideband so you can start street tuning it?

Im with you on the standback but aside from my exhaust i want everthing in my engine bay able to be pulled and returned to stock in a couple hours just incase i need to use my warranty. sooo, im waiting for the PnP harness.

You should block off the BATTERY AIR SCOOP. Jordan told me that when I asked him about water and Standbacks. I have mine mounted on the back of the battery tray so in that spot I would really suggest doing that before moving your car in the rain.

You should mount the computer inside the car if you can. My installer simply extended the wiring. The Standback is under the driver side dash, completely hidden but accessible.

I thought about that but I didn't have all the wire colors to make the harness the same on either side of the firewall. I figured for a first time installing it I didn't want to add more variables to doing it correctly the first time.

I can understand that. Its just a good idea to do if you have the time and the resources.

I was worried about that but ive tried it a few times driving in the rail then i pull over to see if any water is in there and its dry even the intercooler is dry.

Mine had water under the battery the day I installed my standback so I sealed mine off.
