Rear sliding passenger door won t open.

I figure it out why but let see if anyone knows the reason. I searched the forum and could not find any subject on it. So if this happen to you you will know why.

So my friend tried to open the door and after 10 inches, it stopped. I thought a snow bank had stopped it, but every thing was clear. I started to be worry about electric bug from the mechanism but after few other try i figure out the problem.

So any guess?

The fuel/sliding door interlock has been standard in dual sliding door minivans for the past 15 years. The Nissan Axxess (remember that?) I recall got dinged long ago for allowing you to destroy both sliding door and fuel door (not to mention spilling gas everywhere) due to a lack of one.

i always wanted an Axxes. they were cool. i had the car before the Axxes, the Stanza wagon. we called it The Cube. rarely see one anymore. carry on

LOL, happened to the sales guy who was showing us the MZ5. The guy played around with the fuel door and other pulls and buttons pressing, then he wanted to show us the sliding door and blah-blah-blah, just to find out that it would not fully open so he got a sweat. I saw it so I actually told him "May be the fuel door is still open?"

Now, that was cool compared to the fact that for the test drive the guy was having a little trouble driving Manual Tranny (overrevving and crap), so wife and I kindly asked to quickly stop and we "would' drive instead :D

(wow) Scary just to think about it, looks like an escape pod from Star Trek ;)

yeah fuel door stopping the passenger door was an eye opener for me the first time too, but I think I recall reading bout it in the manual too. Never forget to use the manual as a resource too.... sometimes more in there than on the forum

had one of these in light blue metallic. that was a great car. dual sliding doors and flat floor with removable seat. great combo. you could skate board right through the middle with the doors open.

i also had one of these. a '93 in dark blue. great car. it was designed around fitting a mountain bike standing up without the front wheel being removed. i wish the 5 could do the same.

(2thumbs) and I thought the car was scary enough :D

In all seriousness that car concept was great to load stuff (although I think that car belonged to the same family as the pic below... just put some wheels and windows and presto! (lol2))
