Hi guys,

I am from Thailand where there is no Mazdaspeed3.

Therefore, I bought Mazda3 here and would like to transform it to Mazdaspeed3 by changing the front bumper. I found out that I can order 5 parts including left and right fender from japan.

Just would like to know that what need to be fixed in order to changing the front bumper. Are there a lot of adjustment?

You guys can see the picture of my car on the website below.

Please help. Just want to be cool as you guys out there.

sorry, but a new bumper is not what makes it an ms3.... Instead of spending money on looks, why not go aftermarket turbo?

The stock pieces are quite expensive. It's around 590 for the hood, 550 for the front bumper, 525 for the side skirts. Then you have the fenders, spoiler and rear bumper fascia.

I have the Body panels location index of Mazda3. You can see it in below links.

It would be great, if I can get the body panels location index of Mazdaspeed3.

Can you get the panels pre-painted in any of the colors that are available in Thailand?

I've heard having things painted is very expensive.

The Mazdaspeed 3 has a lot more than just a turbo in it that makes it different than a regular Mazda 3. I think a lot of people are confused about this. The chassis has been modified as well as reinforced. Also, the body panels have been made stronger to handle to extra power as well. The suspension system is stiffer and the ride height is lowered. The transmission, it's not the same one that's in a regular Mazda 3. It's basically a different car all together. Looks are about the only major thing in common. So basically what I’m saying is that it would cost an awful lot of money to turn a regular Mazda 3 into a Mazdaspeed 3. It’s not just the Turbo and looks. If you just but the turbo kit like the one in the Mazdaspeed 3 into a regular Mazda 3 it would be a disaster. The power would be too much for it’s chassis, etc. I only listed a few of the things that are different between them.

Half of what you said is true. Yes it would cost alot of time and money if he wanted to turn his regular 3 exactly like a mazdaspeed 3, but his car wouldn't be a disaster if he bought a turbo kit for his regular 3. There are several boost 3s out there that are producing MS3 numbers at the wheels without alot of heavy modification to the engine.

Sure you can run boost on a regular mazda 3 put it would need a modified chassis and several other things to be able to handle the kind of power the Mazdaspeed 3 puts out. Limited slip / traction control, dsc , the list goes on..
