Flowmaster

:
2005, mazda 6
Hey Guys,
I'm looking to replace my factory mufflers with some aftermarket mufflers. I'm very old school when it comes to cars, both my stang and biscane have flowmasters. So my questions are: 1. What size is the stock inlet/outlet? 2. are they offset or centered mufflers. 3. Has anyone here ever installed flowmasters on their 6? 4. If yes to number 3, which series flowmaster did you use and how did it sound? I want a deeper tone, i'm not looking for any performance gains. Just sound, I want my 6 to be different from the rest of them running around. The only power adder I want to add is a supercharger, if they ever come out with a kit. Otherwise, when this car is paid off a camaro or mustang will replace it.

Thanks for any info.

PS: I did a search but not much came up.

The Flowmasters will be LOUD. I recommend MagnaFlows. I had them on my Acura CL Type S and loved them. Deep throaty sound.

This is not neccessarily ture..Depend on what Series Flowmaster you go with.
If you go ith a 2 chamber..yes..pretty loud.
If you go with a 3 chamber, not nearly as loud and will produce a lower deeper tone.

Flowmaster Quality & Sound > Magnaflow Quality&Sound anyday for me.

Also...I would want Polished Stainless...does Flowmaster make?

Just checked. No. And it appears as though they do not have an application suited for mazdas either.

I suppose you can weld anything on your car though.

The fit and finish on the Magna Flows is great because on most Japanese Applications the muff is at the rear of the car. Flowmasters are usually UNDER the car and not visable.

Stainless> Painted
