New mods? Opinions please!

Okay, here is the scenario:

3 weeks to HIN
$1000 budget

Ideas anyone? I am looking to add something to the car.

Suspension/brakes/lines/rotors/rims - check
lip/sides/wing/grill/hood/new paint job - check
simple na mods - check
seats/cf interior parts/steering wheel/knobs - check

That is a break down of my mods I guess. I am debating on puddle lights.

A good reward is in store for a good suggestion

Which simple NA mods do you have? What are puddle lights? What do you have as far as audio/video equipment?

Here are my suggestions:
GT Spec/Autoexe trunk cage (if you don't have one)
Custom painted valve cover (blowing up in the JDM honda scene)
JDM foot well lights
Get rear sets recovered to match front seats (or since you are sponsored by corbeau, rear matching buckets!)

DVD? Hmm... Good idea.

A/V - 2 Pioneer 12's, Pioneer Deck, and a Kicker Amp. Not too much of a sound guy. If it makes noise, it is good enough for me.
Cage - check
Cover - I was debating on that! I would have to sell my dg valve cover-cover if so.
JDM foot well lights - another good idea
Seats - I would have to get the doors done as well... rear buckets seems a little too much for me haha.

Puddle lights go under the side skirts for some OEM cars. When you unlock your doors, it shines the same time as your dome light and fades out at the same time. It is to help see if you are about to step in any "puddles" lol.

Looking at your mod list the only thing left is entertainment, like the suggestion of a DVD headunit. That and a super good cleaning are about the only things that it looks like you can do to your car.

Get the rear seats recovered then! Also do the inserts in the tops of the doors in black suede or alacantra and do the headliner to match!

About the DG cover, just custom your valve cover and then have the DG cover off to the side. Protect your custom valve cover with the DG piece when driving around!

Well yeah go for a double DIN HU (Pioneer AVIC-D3 comes to mind). Fills out the OEM hole nicely and gives you opportunity for expansion and extra screens in the future. Headrest screens in the back seat headrests? (so unnecessary, but hey its a show car).

You can pickup a set of TSX projectors on ebay and ballasts and bulbs all for about $500. That and the 3 weeks you've got to spare, send the headlights out to a retrofitter and let them tackle the job.

And if you go that route, it'll leave you plenty for the puddlelights as well as footwell lights. Mod the crap out of the lighting!!

Oh, maybe a euro rear foglight?

Put a dvd player in your steering wheel...as you can see I am pro-DVD.

I really think you should consider a high quality 7 inch touch screen unit. For 1000 bucks you could get something really nice!

get the spilt second afc. hook it up and show the real time graphs on your dvd head unit or a laptop! that would be a sick eye catcher. it would look cool with the real time gauges or the graph with the lines going through it.

set up a projector screen 15' behind the car and put in an lcd projector and original NES and play some duck hunt!!!

or...use it to play movies...or movies of the car...or as a carputer output.
