Lets see what everyone drove before getting the MS3

I guess there is a common trend for former R32 owners...

2004 VW R32
2003 Spec V
1997 Audi A4 1.8T
1997 VW GTI VR6
1985 Omni GLH (ran 12.5's @ 114mph)
1991 240sx
1991 Mustang LX 5.0
1969 Custom 10 P/U

I don't really sell cars until they're destroyed.

Right now, I have a 1979 Camaro with a 400 CU Small block
2002 Mustang GT with a 03 Cobra IRS, Vortech Supercharger, 13 Inch brakes and a ton of other work done to it
I still have my 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 which the MS3 was bought to replace. I decided that the car is still useful though so I'm going to run it into the ground.
We also still have our 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe.
Old pics of the Mustang are at www.ctgrey02.com
The rest of the cars are in the MS3 pics www.ctgrey02.com/pics/mazda/

Past cars were nothing special...
95 Ford Probe
91 Geo Metro Convertable - 65MPG baby!

& here it is... the beast of them all... my delivery car... 94 Hyundai Scoupe

Is it trashy/sexist/cliche board guyish to point out 'ZoominSpd3Grl' is cute, whilst noting the fact I am engaged and happy, and therefore have qualified this comment as pure and innocent? :)

I had, in reverse order, including a 1994 Thunderbird LX from 1994 onward (still own it):
2005 Mazda 3s
1989 Volvo 760 Turbo
1988 Volvo 760 Turbo
1986 Audi four door something Turbo, gold, which I hated
1994 Thunderbird LX (noted above)
1992 Eclipse GSX (fun until a bus takes the front end off)

Done.

Holy crap amazing!!!!

Here are a few of mine.
Subaru was JDM STI swapped mostly. Honda was supercharged at 8 psi and could hit 160 mph. DRZ-400 is still mine but has a full black out and led lights everywhere.

I don't think so, but only because I agree.

Past rides? First was a 1g non turbo DSM, didn't do s*** to it, it was an auto front driver, had a kabillion miles on it, and drove it for five months before it just died, and gave it to a local mechanic. Then it was a 2000 Rav4. Then jumped up into E46 325i. Now my Speed3. So far, the Speed3 has been my favorite

dude there are some serious ballers on this site with like numerous performance cars and lotus's! what the hell.... -sometimes on the evo forums you'll see dudes with literally too many nice cars to drive. they'll be like "ohh i decided to take the carerra gt out for a spin but didn't get more than 5 miles before i had to get her back in the garage to clean her some more"

Somehow I dont see someone owning a Carerra GT also owning a EVO... then again it may just be me stereotyping EVO owners :D

I just have to ask and if it gets into too much personal info, that's fine, but how have so many of you owned so many 'new' cars in a row? Is it just buying/selling/etc and losing some dough here and there, is it wrecking them and getting a new one (insurance much??), how does it work? I know if there's any truth at all to the finances thread then I don't make what my peers do, I'm about $10k behind, but benefits are ridiculous... However, if I made $70k a year and my last three cars were an Evo 8, a STI, and an LX Civic and they were all made after 2002, I'd be a broke m/fer! I had to layout Excel spreadsheets and get some money out of a mutual fund before I decided I /could/ buy a MS3 IF I found the right dealership willing to give me exactly the deal I needed and exactly what I wanted in trade for my '05 3s. I KNEW my Speed3 was a pipe dream if I didn't get my way, so I kind of 'gave' it to them on the MS3 price, still argued off delivery charges and the 'window treatment' they scammed on, and I got over KBB /best/ value for my 3s trade-in. For that I'm infinitely thankful for my Mazda dealership - when I got there they already had a very nice bill of sale drawn up with every price and the exact interest I wanted, which was below prime by about 0.5%, and the trade-in value correct... No 60 year old 'managers' to talk to about how I'm 'cutting him pretty close' to the quick, nothing.

I wonder the same thing sometimes. How are people able to afford all these cars. I'm just getting started in like. My wife and I leave in a very inexpensive area of the U.S. Between both of us we make decent money and we're financially savvy, but we could not dream of buying an MS3 until her protege and my P5 are paid off.

Sometimes it sucks loving cars an not being able to own more than I at the time. But thats what retirement is for. :)

You guys who get to drive all these call cars are so blessed. Can I borrow one? (drive2)
