Ask Steedspeed About Other Products!

This is actually a pretty good idea .. Maybe you can retitle the thread something like 'suggestions/discussion of other steedspeed products' .. or whatever, LOL.

here is a product request.....
A header and intake manifold that would look sick in my carburated 1971 Datsun 510
Oh man i would be SOOOOO STOKED.

All I know is that if he made a 3" downpipe, he'd be selling them faster than he could make them.

Tho' I'd also be kinda sad .. since I just had my entire turbo-back exhaust rebuilt in July, and had to suck it up and go with CS's 2.5" downpipe due to a lack of a reasonably-priced alternative!

N2K aka Noah brought the manifold issue to my attention. He was also nice enough to send me a stock manifold to take measurements from.

Chris asked me to make him some 3 inch V band flanges and as we are going to have a go at the S and J + mid pipe I got a little carried away on my CNC lathe. Just need some pipe and a test car now eh!

As for the 510. Swap in an SR20 turbo motor! That will fix everything at one hit. I will be doing an SR20 manifold at some point too.

Steed...... I think i can speak for most members when I say that....... well....... I don't think you actually realize how much we would love you if you indeed make an s+j and possible midpipe. It would be an unconditional forever undying love. (kissass)(nana)(cool)(crazy)

Sweet, and once it's designed I'll then proceed to purchase it from you. Also would it be possible to get some of those 3 inch V band flanges too? I'm gonna be fabbin up the catback section myself and those would make it extremely easy to get a strong penetrating weld.

Sure! Chris might also be into the idea of making a complete system.

Ooh, another steedspeed thread... Wow, they're so many options coming out my head is spinning! Exhaust mani, s pipe, j pipe, mid pipe - put me down for one of each :)

I have determined that an SR20 will cost WAY TOO MUCH $$$$$
I have thought recently a VQ35 would be easier.... and N/A
I will need to build a custom shift linkage and flip the front cross member and make some custom motor mounts. But that is about it. There should be enough room even to keep a normal belt driven fan.

So I need a plenum to attach to the top of a Weber 32/36 DGV carb w/ a 2.5 or 3" opening to the front to convert to a custom made CAI. The open element air filter sucks WAY too much heat sitting right on top of the exhaust mani.
Think you would be able to one-off something for me?

Here is a link to a K&N part, but it is way too expensive for what it is:

Dual Snout

Single Snout

I dont have a lot of experience with machining and fabrication, but I think it would be pretty straightforward.

I made a dual inlet version for a friend one time. I helped him twin turbo his 83 Camaro and we mounted one of those on his Holly carb and forced it up to 12psi (400hp NA!) Quite the rocket that one! How much do they want for the single inlet?
