Having issues finding Bose headunit pre-outs...

IT'S NOT A BOSE HEAD UNIT/RECEIVER

Thanks for shouting. I realize that it isn't a Bose receiver, however, the word Bose was being used as a distinction between the standard audio in the sport trim level and the Bose audio system in the GT. The wiring is different. The sport doesn't have preouts. The word "Bose" is being used for reference purposes only.

One more thing to note...It seems that the amp remote turns on with the ignition, not on and off with the headunit.

i just discovered this - does anyone know the which wire is the remote that's from the headunit so everything will turn on with the headunit?

Just to correct myself, the stock head unit isn't Clarion, it is Sanyo, which isn't a bad thing.

Im not too happy with my Bose system myself the damn passenger side front door is still rattling dispite telling my dealership to fix it 3 times now....

may not be the door speaker but rather the sub under the pass. seat. when change falls between the seats and the console, it slides into a scoop mounted on the sub and creates a annoying rattle. i would check that before blowing hard earned $$ for sound dampning material as "cornmeal" suggested.

Yes, the bose sub seems to collect change, but IMO it isn't worth keeping in the car anyway. If you tear the sub apart down to its basic components, it is pretty much a tiny 6.xx something speaker in a compact box. You can do better with just a tiny bit more space in the trunk, and perhaps an amp where the Bose sub once was placed. It is pretty easy to build onto the stock head unit, as a lot of people on here have done. We've got a pretty good install thread going on as well, if you need a little guidance.
