mx-6 ECu System.. IS it EEC-IV or EEC-V

I am tryin to buy a obd scanner for my 94' MX-6 but i am wondering twaht adaptor hooks up to it. Will the Ford probe scanner work with this ecu on the mazda. EEC-IV is the ecu system that the probe uses. PLEASE HELP!

94 is obd-I, you don't need an adapter, just a jumper wire (or a paperclip, which works pretty well for me) make sure your car is off, go under the hood, and look for a small box that says "diagnosis". inside you'll see several slots and a diagram inside the top of the box that tells you what each slot is for. plug the jumper wire/paperclip into the TEN and GND slots. put your car in the on position, DONT START IT ! the check engine light will flash the codes stored. it works somewhat like morse code. i'm not on my computer right now so i don't have the site that tells you step by step how to do it and it also gives you the meaning of the code numbers but i'll have it by tomorrow afternoon if no one beats me to it

The mechanic who installed my AEM piggyback swears that my P5 wiring diagram was wrong and that I have a Ford Focus ECU.
