Wash and wax for winter meet!

Is one needed? I remember that last wash and wax meet....Jeffrey pulled his P5 into your garage and their was a NEPOC swarm....about two hours later his car was lower! :)
Yeah I had a hand in that. We had everything out in about 20-30 minutes and then stopped for lunch. It took another hour to get it back together because everyone was chatting.

We will need compressors to get the front stock springs onto the stock struts in the MS6. The rears are compressed using a jack.

Yeah, I knew one was needed.....I was just amazed at how all of you got your hands in there and had it ripped apart and then put back together.

ill bring a few sets of tools in case one breaks or what not..i wish this meet was two weeks later id have my springs and shocks by then. and maybe alittle suprise from ken for my intercooler..

Even if the rain holds out it's still going to be a chilly one. Damn we missed the date by a week. Anyone else get out and enjoy the weather Saturday?

Here's what I did.....went to the beach....in October! Seems everyone else had the same idea. What a great day.

What are you putting in?

sportlines, havent decided which shock to go with yet.. and the suprise from ken is a custom made spray Co2 kit for the intercooler since ken only offers the top mount one.. he made me a front mount kit cuz i needed longer line then the top mount and a different designed spray setup

I'll help on the springs Chris. It will give me some good experience for when those custom coil overs I'm getting come in at the end of the month.

I decided to spend a bit more and go with CO's since I will be able to adjust ride height at will without worrying about being stuck with a set drop from replacement springs. Also, with the exception of the RPM's, there simply aren't any other springs that are meant for this car.

The CO company is custom making the bodies for us so the minimum drop is 0", and the max is about 2". I'll probably enlist some help from you guys when I get them as I don't have spring compressors...

Also, I'll bring the workshop manual along for any MS6's or normal 6's that show up...

Thanks! It shouldn't take us too long. I'd love to get my hands on the RPMs but this can't wait. It's pretty amazing how just 300-400lbs can change the behavior of the car. I wonder if RPM did any testing with additional weight in the rear.

okay, update on weather....nor easter comin thru on fri, depending on how quickly it moves in and out, sat is either going to be cool and raining or cool and windy with chance of rain???? great, it looks like the wash and wax will be out....i'll be here working on my car (not running well right now) and we have some springs and a shifter to do, so come by if you like. i'm up early so get here wheneva you want. we'll do pizza for lunch (my treat);)

Yup, some nasty weather. Ah well....it is New England right? If Saturday is not too bad I'm heading up.

Astral told me about this yesterday...

I would be interested in coming.. I only put 3 coats of wax on before the Cape Cod meet.

I have the Zaino Kit... I have 1 or 2 clay bars I can bring.

If the weather holds up ofcourse...

Would be cool to go though.. Need to clean my engine bay badly, and I can show off my new oil cap :)

I'm downgrading myself to 10%. Driving 2 hours in the rain with a miata is not really looking appealing.

I hear ya Sean....my drive is five hours, with a good majority of that on 95. I will keep watching the weather though.

from Lehigh Valley? 95?

Duuuude.. The tappan zee and the garden state parkway are your friend. Take 78 to 287 next time, take 287 to the tappan zee, and then take the merrit through CT. That'll lead you to any road you need in CT/RI.

Looks like most of my home improvement projects are getting rained out, so me, Cheez and sean will be heading out for a few. I'll run some injector cleaner in the system on the ride out and I need to take my throttle body off to get to my EGR. nothing fancy, i just haven't had time to dedicate to it. I can also help out with any of the other projects that are going on. we'll bring beer.

ps, look what just came in the mail today... (no, I don't get to go tho :( )
