I search the whole site before I posted this. I installed the dog bone last night and I torqued it to 45ftlbs just wondering is that to much? or not enough? thanks in advance

i dont torque anything. unless it is critical... like head studs or main bearings. slap some loctite on it, make it tight and you are done.

I didnt use much loctite with my AWR... I actually think I loctited the part fo the threads that dont thread into anything.. But what I did was used a torque wrench on the stock mounts bolts to figure out the torque specs.

loctite is a must if you ask me. the added vibrations will back the bolt out (happened to me) if not used. it cost $2 and is well worth the piece of mind knowing it wont come out !

i never used any loctite on my awr and i just made it as tight as possible (sssh)

with my delrin TRZ mount (when it eventually turns up) I think i better use loctite but ill still just tighten it up as much as possible.

I haven't yet gotten my factory service manual; however, on other vehicles I am more accustomed to engine mounts being torqued to ~60-90 ft-lbs typically.

hey man, tell me this.... does that new mount shake the hell out of your ms3?? ive never been a fan of solid motor mounts, is this an issue with this mount?

nah, even the delrin one is not too bad. you will feel it, but it is not horrible. the poly one is VERY every day drivable.

one customer called in a few weeks back asking. I looked it up and if I recall it was between 60-80 ft/lbs. (don't hold me to that though) I'll look it up on monday when I get in to the shop.

Is TRZ planning on making these anymore? Out of stock for a month seems fishy.

I ordered mine about 2 weeks back. Still don't have it. I emailed Ken Miller and he said it would ship early this week. Its tuesday and still no word. I'm close to asking for a refund and just grabbing the corksport mounts.

The TRZ mount was not in stock when I ordered it, but the wait (I forgot how long) is worth it.

Installed last Saturday and I am very happy with my purchase. I'm using the Delrin version; it's real stiff. Wheel hop and front "wander" are greatly reduced.

I ordered mine at the end of September.... they were supposed to be there then. I would be ballistic if I was a vendor being held accountable to paid customers so long. Its absolutely unacceptable business practice. And in this case its the manufacturer who is to blame, IMO. Out of stocks need to be announced as such, and timetables need to be realistic..... and that can include the announcement of "no timetable as of now".

TRZ's MO seems to be that they'll produce jackshit nothing, but tell the vendors its shipping "this week". Every week....for weeks, months even maybe. Who the hell knows... PG sure doesnt.

TRZ is supposed to be working on some upgraded intercooler. Yeah right. They cant make a motormount, and keep it in production.... how the heck are they gonna produce a production intercooler. Especially because they get their cores from ETS.... who also is struggling to keep up. But at least everybody knows the situation with ETS. TRZ doesnt seem to have their act together.

Im still going to hold on though. I trust Ken will get to the bottom of this. But it does seem fishy when he is being told..... "they'll ship this week", and one month later hes still hearing the same old s***..... and we're still in the dark.

I'm very impatient. I want my damn mount, and I want some news from cobb and dg from sema.

I'm about a week away from just going with the corksport inserts.

2 and a half weeks ago I was told the same thing, by the end of this month they'll be shipped. No word yet either. :-\

i am responsible for placing the orders with TRZ for the motor mounts, so if anything feel free to blame me for not ordering large enough batches to keep with demand. I just emailed about twenty people their UPS tracking numbers, as promised by the months' end, not more than an hour ago. The entire batch that has come in is already spoken for and twenty more are being finished up this week to keep with demand. I did not honestly feel there was going to be this kind of demand on the part, and I was wrong.

Tracking numbers were emailed through the website for those of you that placed orders. If you have not gotten one, please PM or email me outside of the site and I will give it to you.
