CP-E Standback

ok i got the standback.....im not even gonna mess with it till monday.... i dont want to cut the damn wires and mess it up (i dont know my own strenght)....gonna have my buddy (professional high end stereo shop) do it for me on monday....

i read the instruction....so to tune it to 15 or 17 psi part is after installing the hardware and do it with a laptop right?

Yes Jack, the primary map is set to 15psi and the secondary map is set at 17psi. Let me know how where you punch through the firewall and where you mount the switch. As I didn't install the switch because I really don't know where to put it. Maybe your friend will come up with something good. If don't install the switch you will only be able to use and adjust the primary as of course you will not be able to switch to the second.

I used electrical tape and taped my switch very close to the plug. The unit is right below my OBDII port under the dash so it's easy to flip the switch in time of need... like when an unsuspecting 350Z or something pulls up. No cutting and easy to change. Ghetto yes but works perfectly.

if i install the switch then i can switch between 15psi and 17psi on a fly?

I ran my boost gauge wire through the hole where the hood release goes. A little tricky to get it through, but a coat hanger worked well enough. Definitely where I'll run the EMS switch wire through when I get to that point.

i dont see a need for all this, maybe its me. just run the 17 psi map all the time. if you dont want to go fast at the moment here is the trick..... lift up your foot !!

Boost is spiking at 25psi? and holding 18psi? I really want to believe that your boost guage is not reading right because that is troubling. I dont know enough about boost spike to know how bad this is.

Will someone please enlighten.

I was going to order EMS this week. Im still leaning toward Xede.... dont ask me why. I guess just cause its been the one I thought would have PNP first. Oh well.

Jack, sweet you love it. Where is your boost gauge mounted to to receive pressure? You just imagine mine with the 3" TBE and CAI.

By the way, would you be able to take a picture of how you went throught the firewall and where and where the switch is by the DSC board?

Just heard something strange: Hold button DSC while starting the engine, after it is started, release it and then it is supposed that we no longer have fuel cut!!

someone already tried this??

How did you get the covers off next to the dsc switch/dimmer switch? I tried for about an hour when hooking up my boost gauge to get those out so I could send the power to the gauge off the dimmer switch so I could adjust brightness. Tried jamming a screwdriver between and pushing from the back but ended up giving up.
