anywayz hope ur deal works out xD

Whoa dude... sort've scary how much effort you put into this. I realize $150 is a lot of money and all but... it's not like you paid him cash. You used paypal which, of course, protects you against s*** like this.

Hopefully this sort of thing never happens to you again. If it does... I'd advise you to chill on the Magnum PI routine and just get your money back via the system that's in place.

For what it's worth though... pretty impressive how you dug all that up. Maybe you really are MPI

I want the part, he just needs to ship it.

He just emailed saying I was stalking him and that it's not like he can send it out on the weekend, nevermind that I sent payment LAST weekend. He also said he didn't "ask me to send the money" that I just went ahead and sent it... yeah, after we agreed to a price, he sent pics and confirmed his paypal address to me. Whatever.

So I told him to ship it or refund the money. We'll see what happens.

Easy start by googleing their screen name and go from their with bits and peices that you find that way. He very well could of found a post where he was showign off his car and didn't block out the plates.

Sorry man, But IMO you are like my roomate and you send 150 and if you hear nothing in a few days it is the end of the world!! Paypal protects you for 45 days!! Dont freak out and go stalking the guy IMO!! I have spent thousands while I was on cruise, Sometimes some people are slow to ship!! I never question it until I hit the 40 day mark since I always use paypal!! Give a little trust in some sellers is all I ask!! Yes I may be too trusting but the one time I have been screwed Paypal paid me right back!
Just my opinion since I buy an sell alot online way too much (buy mostly)and get upset when people over react for a few days!!

Agreed..I used to wait for paypal transactions to totally clear INTO my bank account before shipping items. I was always skeptical that somehow the transaction would be fake so until it hit my account I never sent a thing.
That could sometimes take a week.
You need to just chill...People do have other lives than rushing right out to ship your item. Maybe he works all day and goes to school and hasnt had a day off to ship it since you paid him AND it cleared.

Sounds to me like your way over reacting here.

yeah but that's beat because you're allowing him to float the money. if he's not ready to ship the product for another month, you should be able to keep your own money and earn your own interest on it in the meanwhile. not let him keep your money in his account.

Its only been a week....It takes a week for payment to clear sometimes depending on what he used to pay and the bank account of the individual receiving the money.
This guy is in no way out of line yet.
If it had been a month..that would be totally different.

though and you'll see I was replying and quoting the guy who said he doesn't question things until the 40 day mark. also he said he always uses paypal, so that answers the part about it depending on what method he uses to pay.

if he's sending payment immediately and doesn't even question it until 40 days into it, he's allowing someone else to float his money. whether it's $2 or $2000 for someone who claims to buy a lot on-line, this potentially has cost him a nice chunk of money.

anyway, i'm not trying to be a turd here, just wanted to point out to joka something that he might have been overlooking in his own transactions.

as for Nomad who sent $150 in payment a week ago and hasn't received the part, I can see how it might not arrive in the first week, but the upsetting part is that the seller has been avoiding communication. by the end of two weeks I would at the very least expect a tracking number and if not, would start the process to get my money back via paypal.

ha ha, a few minutes of searching dug up a lot.
Sure, maybe I'm overreacting, but he's been eleusive in his emails. He told me he'd ship it out 8 days ago. Then he dissappeared. I told him he could have easily just COMMUNICATED.

I agree that I should be able to keep my money untill he's ready.

I'm not cutting him off at the knees, I just want the part and it seems a little pressure is in order.

ok.. posting all the guy's personal information is uncalled for at the moment. Let's give this some more time before you send the bounty hunters out, OK? You sent him the money a week ago. I've waited that long for products from amazon and buy.com.

I'm editing the top post.. Patience is a virtue, friend.

Shh.... did you hear that? no? It was SMS droppin the hammer!!

hahaha

btw... cheer up Mr. Met! We WILL live to see another day.

Yeah, I thought about it and I am ok losing $150, it's not that much, and this dud may be on hard times.

My deal is the common courtesy of communication. It's not that I just haven't received it, it's that he doesn't care to even ship it and hasn't just said "hey, this week was bad, I'll get on it x day. Then he doesn't answer emails and acts like he's doing me a favor, even though he has my money.

I know, how about we all post in our for sale threads that we will ship out product when it's convenient, and probably not for 40 days after we get the cash... that'd put buyers at ease.

I guess I'm one of the few left who actually care when people send me money... I make it a priority to respond that i received it, then when I will ship it. I then give tracking numbers and let them know asap.
Sometimes I even follow up after they should have received it. When I don't ship it when I say I will, I apologize and let them know I'm making it top priority. Guess I'm one of the few who cares.

All I asked for is communication

Being frustrated about a lack of communication is one thing. Hunting down someone's personal info and posting it all over the place for total strangers to see is another. The latter was completely unneeded. That's why Paypal exists -- if you have a problem with the transaction, file a complaint and get your money back. If you want the part that desperately, pay 'full price' for it elsewhere.

that is 150 of his hard earned money I would be just as pissed all you guys are far to forgiving it does not feel good to get scammed

Yo i totally agree with that...i mean wtf dude, its been one week and youre out to kill the dude..He's right you are a stalker...How about giving him the benefit of the doubt and waiting another week. Seriously sometimes things take a little time and you dont know whats going on in his life. Sending you your 150 dollar part should get done, but it might not be his number 1 priority if he has a death in the family or some other such issue. I wouldve given him two weeks before jumping all over him like some kind of crazy lunatic. You'll be lucky to get the part at all from him now the way you treated him...I mean he's not a parts company, hes just some guy selling a used part. I agree with you that others should do good business, but man you seem to have little to no patience at all.
