I can bring some extra buckets, tire brush and tire gel, plus extra hands for getting 'down and clean'.

What should I bring besides my sexy car?

I'll bring some really good paint cleanser & wax, tire shine, wheel wax (need to reorder actually, heh), wheel cleaner.

Maybe bring some microfiber towels? (Ones sold in Target under Vroom brand are good.) Last time around, I bought two packs from Target and we went thru them all.

Do we need extra buckets? I think Mark had all of those the last time around.

Claybars

BTW had a stock of claybars last time around, but this time I have only one left at my place. These are pretty expensive, and last time we went through 5 of mine plus one of Victor's for 7-8 or so cars.

So I would appreciate if folks would chip in by picking up a Clay Magic claybar for their car at AutoZone or other auto store. It's $11. Don't pick up Meguiar's or Mother's, as they are overpriced ($16+) and give you less claybar. I can also pick one up for you before the event, so you don't have to go to the store (but I will need the $11).

If your car has never been clayed or it's been a while, it's likely that we'll go thru the entire claybar on it. If we don't, then you get to keep the bar for other times

Everything else gets used in fairly small proportions (we used about only 1/3rd of my Jeffs Werkstatt system on 7 cars, with 2 layers of wax on several of them), so it's not a big deal.

I have some good drying towels that I'll bring (and I'm also going to bring all my other towels). I don't like to use chamois for drying because they don't have anywhere for the dirt to go (so if the wind blows over some dirt, it gets dragged across the paint). With a good quality microfiber towel, the dirt can go under the nap and is less likely to scratch.

(Given how swirly some cars are, it probably won't matter whether a chamois is used or not, but still...)

Target sells a large yellow soft microfiber drying towel (not the one in a tube), you can pick that up for drying (if you don't have something like that). I have two of those at home that I'll be bringing (along with a couple of other drying towels).


ALSO, feel free to bring whatever you like just in case... e.g. some wheel cleaner...

i may make the trip (even though it's a 4 hour drive). my car's paint needs some attention (i'll take some pics to get a professional (oleg) opinion) and it's either pay someone to do it and then keep having to pay them or make the voyage, save a little bit this time even after gas over paying someone and hopefully learn to do it myself. plus get to hang out with everyone i'll have to check what's going on that weekend.
