What have you done to your P5 today?

My car is a manual and has the empty hole there, I wired my amp power cable though it. Maybe its for cruise control (I don't have that) (shrug)

thats a posibility because i do have CC. there is another place next to it, the black rubber thing to the right, that Chris said to poke another hole in it and route it through there. so hopefully this week i'll get a chance to do that because...the wiring in my housing is toast, not the bulb itself :( i guess thats better than the wires running through the engine bay going bad.

Had an exhaust leak in my Racing Beat where the muffler meets the mid pipe, the gasket failed. had to grind off the old bolts and replace the gasket and new bolts. No more leak.

I don't like you... naw, good job! I am just jealous :D

I put my o2 sensor fix in and a resonator. I am super happy now.

Put snow tires on her. :)
(eyeballs) You know it's only September, right? ...and that you live in Virginia, not Alaska, right? Oh, yeah, and that the P5 is FWD so all-seasons will get you around in that paltry excuse for snow that NoVA gets? WTF, SNOW tires?
Yeah, I know. :D Here's the reasoning behind it: my P5 rims are on the MSP, the P5 rims for the MSP have dead tires we haven't replaced yet, and the RBs are without tires. I had the Enkeis on my car which are dual bolt pattern to fit Mom's Forester and yesterday was the Subaru Challenge. We'll probably get the Azenis put on the P5 rims this week and then put them on the MSP until it gets too cold. And the snow tires are really for the MSP, not the P5. :)

I made my P5's wheel bearing hate life on a fun run...so...I guess I'm fixing that tonight.

Put about 380 miles on her from Atlanta to Birmingham and back. Had a freaking awesome weekend hangin out with some friends, and used her for a beer run or 2.

Took a couple pics driving back, but, well, I was doing 80 and didn't have time to mess with the settings. Only one came out *decent*. Would have actually been a cool shot if it were not blurry (esp the gauge cluster). I STILL love how good the gauge rings look on this car. OG DaveBs to boot! :)

Nice!!! You got a great deal on that setup!

Ok, its not a P5 but still. Yesterday my neighbor came to me with this...

She has 70k miles on it and hasnt done anything other than change the oil a few times since she bought it with 55k on it. She never cared to keep the engine clean and comes to me complaing that Mazda wanted $300+ for a 30k mile check-up and ask me if I could help. I changed the oil and put in the 626 V6 oil filter, cleaned the K&N air filter I gave her about a year ago from my ride, flushed the radiator and refilled with new coolant, changed the ATF and the spark plugs looked decent but I changed them as well because I don't think they had ever been changed.

I got all the work done and felt too bad about retuning the car with the engine bay in its current state so I spent about 15 mins cleaning things up and returned her nice and clean:)

All for $50, what a deal huh? I must miss my car lol.

Drove her to work, a lovely drive @ 0230 (MIL time)

I should change my schedule.

Good Ol' Uncle Sam will let you change your schedule at your leisure? He would let me change it, but every other day.....2/2/2 and 80 FTL!

Either that or you have some serious obsessive compulsive tenancies surfacing.

That's the stuff I'd do for free IF they were willing to stick around and help with their own car, otherwise, good deal for $50.

If I convinced my boss that our customers (Computer users) would benefit from me showing up @ 0400, I'd be able to change it. I work in a 4-deep shop, so that's not likely to happen.

Yeah, its a chick's car... if you couldnt tell by the first pic lol. She has things to do and was busy all weekend and actually ask me to do this work last weekend. I know I might do something like that for free for some ass or something but shes not that kinda girl so im just gonna take the $50 she offered me lol. I looked up what mazda does for the 60k mile service along with a few things thats should have been done sooner that they probably would have charged out the ass for, the base they told her for the service was $300. She paid $37 at Auto Zone and $50 to me, not bad at all.

Time to fill out the request chit. lol As for going in, 0400 is much better than 0230, but the upside to 0230 is the time you get to go home!
