temps were around 70 degrees. And it was night time. When i ran a 13.9 @ 100 with the same mods it was day time and around 80 degrees. As for tire pressure the 13.9 @ 100 during the summer was done at 25psi and last night was done at 21-22 psi
 
Take the hood completly off and see what it runs. For u guys that go to the track allot, i was thinkng that could make for an interesting experiment???

Now, taking off the HATCH...that might do something.

The whole "101" thing was directed toward laloosh, who raised a BS flag on me for pulling that speed despite a horrid launch. Luckily the 1/4 has enough room to compensate.

i still raise the bulls*** flag on you, you said you trapped 101 bogging and screwing up 2 shifts. Bogging is the absolute worse thing you can do for a trap speed.
 
I'm sorry you can't bog and mess up 2-shifts in a stock MS3 and still trap 101mph.

The only way ur trappin a 101mph like that is if ur quite modded.
 
<shrugs> I dunno, I just did it. It was the same day I had a bone crunching wheel hop but not the same run....

I'm not going to debate it, I'm not one to fib.

Anyway, I hope to do much better once I replace the rear motor mount and put some sort of CAI or SRI on.
 
all I gotta say is this laloosh......killer 60 ft times , the rest is the cars doing but those 60ft times are all you man!!!
 
yeah the 60' is great. i was able to pull a 2.13 on stock rubber at full 33psi.
i'll have to dump some air next time i guess.

i wouldnt call it all car. you still gotta figure out how to shift the thing. flatshifting 2 through 5 is not as easy as every1 thinks, especially with stock motor mounts lol. The car spins through 1st but wheel hops almost all they way through 2nd, its a sin how bad it is lol
 
The other benefit of lower tire pressure is more gear
less pressure = shorter diameter

I documented a 200-300 trap rpm increase with 8-10psi lower tire pressure in one of my other cars
 
I want to get to the track so bad...

Thing that sucks for me is that I have a really hard time shifting quickly into 3rd. From day one, if I try to shift too quickly or try to flat-shift, it grinds... so after a few tries I stopped doing that (glare).

Flat shifting second just causes hop or spin... so all I WOT shift now is 3-4. I won't even try 4-5.
 
Just a heads up:

BEFORE my engine fell out, my car would grind 2-3 shifts just like yours, predictably and constantly. The only thing that would stop it was a deliberate effort to slow down the 2 to 3 shift. This sucked, and made me dislike the car quite a bit.

AFTER the engine fell out, and I got my car back, this anomaly was completely gone! Somewhere during the car's rebuild (which was only 2 days long), the dealership straightened everything out. There must be some adjustments to make, or something along those lines. Whatever it was, I'm grateful that it is fixed. Why this such a nice change of shifting prowess that I was ALMOST happy that my engine fell out so it could be fixed! ALMOST.


Moral of the story - Consider that the dealership might have a way to adjust things around. Maybe snag a technical service manual and see if there are adjustment procedures...
 
i see you flatshift all gears, but at what RPM ??
i usually only flatshift 3-5. just like you said 2nd just gets sloppy if you powershift it ! i have a great motor mount, so i dont hop so bad, but it still spins a lot !

i dotn really flatshift...i get off the gas but not all the way. This wednesday im flat shifting everythign after 2nd. As for shifting its around 5800
 
yeah i usually shift at 6k. my next time at the track will be on Oct. 13th.
its the last day route66 is open. hopefully i can get some nice cool weather this time ! the one time i was at the track with a temp below 85 i broke my AWR mount on a hard launch. thats the same say i contacted TRZ to make us those nice mounts !
