Rear wiper..

so how does one remove this wiper?

remove the wiper arm.Then open the hatch and remove the plastic cover on the back of the hatch door so you can get to the wiper motor.When you get the cover off you will see 3 nuts that hold the wiper motor on.Remove those nuts and unplug the power going to the motor and just pull it out.Its pretty simple and dont forget to take out the rubber gromet that is in the window.

All you have to do is unplug it.You can use that outlet for something else if you want since you have a on/off switch for it already installed.Im sure its 12v but I havent tested it yet.I was trying to think of something I could use that for but I come up blank.

What do you need the rear wiper for?Just remove it and be done.

Lmao - I get all o/c when there's rain on the back window because the wind doesn't really sweep it off like a normally situated 'trunk' car... And it helps in the winter pushing snow that gathers lightly so I don't have to haul my ass out and scrape back there once it's defrosted.

The stupid blade is crap though and it doesn't work when it's brand new, the first time I used it there were teh streaks. It was the same on my 3s, and there weren't even 'aftermarket' (i.e. blade arm replacements at Pep Boys/Autozone etc.) solutions available. You have to go to Mazda for a replacement sucky blade.

yeah...i was thinking of something else to hook up to the switch on the stock. but it would have to be run from the where the motor for the wiper was.
