Time to save the Mazda5?

hmm, interesting. I say it's nothing more than speculation. I'm seeing more and more of them all the time... really don't think the thing is having a problem selling.

Oh well, if they axe it, we'll still have plenty support since it's mechanically identical to the 3. All it means is the few of us enlightened folk have a rare gem :)

I completely agree

I also see more everyday here in MA. But I agree even if they pull the 5 from the US it just means that the smarter consumers among us will have a unique vehicle.

And once I get my MS3 I'll own two unique vehicles :-). Just the way I like it.

I think Mazda needs to market the 5 a little better. The 5 already has the top rating in its class from Consumer Reports, which is pure gold from a sales standpoint. But it is up to Mazda to toot their own horn on that.

Seems like at last check they were on target to sell around 13,000. So it would not take much to get it where they want it.

"If current volume can hit 15,000 units, Mazda will bring in a redesign. But if volume withers, or if North American homologation is a problem, it may be a one-generation vehicle".

Oh well, we have enjoyed it for 2 good years and, to me, it is already somehow unique (at least the color). I've been melancholic earlier but, what the heck, as long as it lasts 3-4 more years and the family does not outgrow it (very slim chance of outgrowth really), it has been a great experience so far.

Worst case scenario our next family car choice will be a Rondo... (rlaugh) (rlaugh)

Now I'm talking non-sense, check please! :D...
