What the hell is wrong with Chevy? They should have put this 260hp 2.0L in the Cobalt SS Supercharged instead of the HHR. Idiots!!!

Reminds me of the PT Cruiser turbo...except it's a Chevy...I think the only real reason anyone would buy one is if it's UBER cheap...otherwise why bother? There are several 200+hp/turbo compacts on the market that offer a lot more of everything thing than the HHR SS and for a good price.

PS...0.86 g grip? Welcome to 1986...That's not Nrburgring-tuned...That's Average-tuned!

does anyone else think the HHR looks like complete ass?

its just...

ugly
Yes.

and .86g's for a 2008 car?! The MSP tested at .89g's 4-5 years ago! Apparently the MSP was Nurburgring tested as well.(doh)

Ugh..where's the eyeroll smiley when I need it?

It's really a shame that Chevrolet has decided to dilute the meaning behind their once-famous "SS" marque. Now everything comes in an SS version - give me a break. None of them get reviews that are worth a damn, and I'm sure this will be the next one to be slammed by the automotive press.

I realize it would have been the same crap vehicle, but they really should have just sufficed to name it "HHR Turbo". It does not deserve the SS emblem according to the history of SS at the Chevy stables.

0.85g of lateral acceleration is also what I typically see of the Mazdaspeed3, slightly worse than the 0.87-0.88g that I see for my Mazda3.

My brother-in-law loves this car for some reason. I forgive him though, since he's only 15. Now that he commented, I noticed that there are a TON of these around south florida. I see about 10-15 every day, now that I am paying attention. Ugly as hell, IMHO worse than the PT...

+1 It sure would of sold better thats for sure.

pretty impressive #s out of that thing too. Remind me not to mess with one in the MSP. Would this be chevys answer to the dodge caliber srt4?

Is it a sedan? Is it a wagon? A van? A truck? An SUV?

From the pictures I really can't tell whether it's a small car or a big honking thing.

Ugh... how do cars like this even get made?

What's sad is... this thing is supposed to be competing with the MS3 (and of course, the new SRT-4) Like the Cobalt, it will undoubtedly finish last in every conceivable way.
