I got my MS3 today (pics)

No, mine is a definitely humming, like something is rubbing. It only happens sometimes, and it varies in loudness. Once or twice it was fairly loud, but I shake the wheel back and worth and it goes away. I'm taking my car to the dealer in two days, I'll see what they find.

Nice. I'll be shopping around for my Speed3 in the next few weeks. I got my auto loan check in the mail today.

Yep. Idle for 2-3 min. before you shut it down. Get the oil changed at 3k miles and on your 2nd oil change, switch to a synthetic or synthetic blend. This will help keep the turbo seals from committing an early suicide. I run regular oil with Lucas Oil additive for the last quart. Cheaper than full synth, but you will get the same benefits as full synth. No matter what oil you decide on, get it changed often! This engine will cook any oil rather quickly. Cooked oil is great for french fries, not so great for high hp 4 cyl turbo cars.

I got my Injen cai for $237 shipped. Surely you can scrape up this small amount of money. It will free up the airflow so much! Better mpg too. Sound great tons more power and was really easy to install. (less carbon on the tailpipe too)

The owners manual says 30-45 or so seconds after a hard run.

That is one way, but on our car it is not a huge concern, just do not take it 0-60 light up your brakes then turn the car off. I have turbo timer for extra precaution but as long as you drive relativly soft the last minute or two your driving everything should be fine.

I think I had this same sound, just take the car up to 60 and light up your brakes a few times, mine was a loud humming at low speeds or turning sometimes, It was the rotors being glazed and making contact with the pads or some crap like that. It still comes back occasionally so I just brake check it. But IDK if that is the same noice your hearing.

I'll try that out.

On a side note, I found out that the "scratch" on one of my fenders that I got them to take off $1,300 for was nothing. I realized at the dealer it wasn't as bad as I thought as I was able to get some of it off. Just yesterday I was aggressive and picked it hard with my nail, it all came off with no damage. Good news for me, the dealer was going to repaint it for me which I was extremely nervous about.

New car buying tip, bring some white-out and paint a small scratch on a fender. Knock off $1,300 for it.

Very nice.

Welcome to the world of blue.

Thanks (thumb)

I really like the cosmic blue. I knew at the dealer it was the color I liked that color the most, but after having it for a few days now, I REALLY love the shade. Its just so different and adds some "class" to the vehicle. I went from one blue mazda wagon to another, and I couldn't be more happy about that.
