Terbow: Where can I get a set of Brush Aluminium Rings at.. I've been trying to find some!!!!

Yea...I did make them myself. I used this how to to make mine.http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60046 Basically it fairly simple. Its just the matter of taking your time to sand it down really good and dont rush into paint really quick. On mine I spent about 3 weeks or so working on after work for about 1 to 2 hours a day. Also the first time I painted it, I used the wrong paint and was way to shiney so I had to sand again and paint it again this time using flat black paint. What I used to bond the two together was some stuff at the your local auto parts store...(Autozone) called plastic expoy by quicksteel. It comes in a tube and it looks and acts just like playdo. "stinky stuff" Use that to mold and bond the two piece together. Then sand it down. The stuff gets hard like a rock in like 3 to 4 minutes so use small portions at a time. Sand, clean, sand , clean, repair, sand clean, and then after you gotten as far as you can...us a then layer of bondo to fill in the bumps and dips that you couldnt sand out. This is where you want to take your time. Then prime it, and paint it. Again take your time in painting. Do several light coats to cover the entire piece instead of trying to cover it in one coat first. This will help with the consistance in the paint and prevent some runs..also remember to stand 8 inches at least away from the item that you are painting. Thats pretty much it. I'll post some pick of the different stage of the build later today.... Hope this helps in how this was done.

Damn you, I was going to tell you that you have a leak somewhere.

and to 2.0t03speed thanks for the heas up. I was looking into that aem EBC/gauge. I guess I'll just keep my MBC I love it.

I have nothing but good things to say about the AEM Tru Boost.....I have yet to have any problems with the combo.

Whats so "pos" about it, 2.0t??

i cant get it to stop spiking no matter what i set the crack pressure at and i have no leaks what so ever and my vacume holds strong at 21. i always kept the duty cycle at 40 and no matter how i adjusted the crack pressure i would still get a 2.5 to 3 psi spike. it would hold between 8-9psi but it would always spike between 11-12.5 psi. reason i know this is because i literally went arround for about 3 hours doing nothing but straight 40mph 2nd gear pulls. id go from 2nd to the top of 3rd each time. and after each run id adjust the crack pressure some more and it still wouldent stop spiking. maybe it wasnt ment to work with my car i dunno

So your done with it because you have erratic spiking? I have had spiking issues even before the tru boost gauge, and most of it was due to engine modifications done to the car. The AEM didnt eliminate my spiking, but it did settle it down a bit....which is what its meant to do. I changed alot of my vaccum hoses and did multiple checks for leaks, along with adding larger check valves. I now have little to no spiking.....

dude i changed all my vacume lines im running a vacume block off the brake booster. i got barley any spike with my joe p mbc and i change to the aem hoping to eliminate the spike completley and all it does is make it worse

Here are some pic of how I did my gauges:

Yea, I got a little leak. The little few inch. hose coming off the IM, to the little blue T. It has no clamps on either end. And both my o2's are done, code for the first one is bank 1 too rich, second o2 wires are burnt apart. Old air filter too.

I've been too broke to really fix any problems lately. I'll get to them soon though. Got the actuator installed , and my oil changed and manifold bolt put in, and the other ones tightened up for only $40 in total, at mazda. Gotta thank mechanic at mazda.

The oem wga's, if yours is inly hitting 5psi. It's opening too early I'm told, and when you take it off you'll be able to tell the wastegate isnt working.

I don't remember the exact terms to descibe whats not workn, but the spring doesnt work anymore or somethin, there is a TSB out so if you feel like getting somethin for free from mazda, there ya go.

Car will run hard soon as fix all these problems, it's still trying to pull so nothings broke.

I was starting too early in 2nd, had to learn how to drive my car again and ran it at starting at the right rpm spooling the turbo. Then it started pulling again and hitting 7-8psi. Plus that too much fuel is slowing me down too, but saving my engine kind of, or helping it.

Got my windshield tinted the other day. 35% across the whole thing. Very happy with it so far, helps keep the car alot cooler which is important because its been upper 90's and low 100's all week. Doesn't effect my night vision at all either which I was kind of worried about.
