thanks for the wish....i hope yours smooths out. if you encounter a bunch of little things along the way it will all equal out and you wont have one big problem in the end. or something along those lines.
No I think your on the wrong path there. The dp cat is less than 6 inches into a convaluted pipe. There is no way to get a 3" point that you could hack off and add your own piping to. That is until after the 1st cat. If you did manage to make your own down pipe utalizing the stock flange while installed on the car good for you but I bet it flows worse than the corksport, cp-e or stock pipes. In anycase the o2 sensor still has to come out to make your pipe so I don't see how your helping this guy out offering up your know how on hacking up a car up at a chop shop.
good God! so after all was said and done you paid something like $700? I understand the labor but daaaaaaang! you could've almost gotten Xede man.

just think of the price and work as one more upgrade and one more pain in the ass conquered. did you hear a sound difference in the resonance of the exhaust?
Yeah there is a little. I wanted to keep the rest of the exhaust stock (for now). But its a different animal.. No doubt about that. My main problem now is boost cut or fuel cut during spirited driving. I will have to locate the thread on that or start one up as to what every one is doing.
Yeah I'm g2g now. Make sure your disconnect the battery either during install or after and you wont have any problems. I had CELs for a minute when i didn't. Been CEL free ever since.

I did a DP install on my speed6 last week. Here's the review and tips on the install. Basically, do it hot and the bolts and O2 sensor come out without incident. Good luck for all those considering this.
