Thinking about AutoEXE front grill for MS3..

2007 MS3
I just want to get rid of the big M on the front.

$300 or so for the part, plus the cost of having it painted & installed doesn't seem too bad.. Or are the AutoEXE products simply overpriced? Do you guys think there will be another company's offering coming around any time soon? If so then I will wait on ordering, but I know this one will fit, and it looks good to me.

Still want a body-colored bumper protector.. You know, that little black moustache - I only think it looks good on the black MS3. Ah, well, the front end on the MS3 is the one aspect of its looks that I am unhappy with.

$300 seems about right. I agree that the font end could use some work.

I believe it was determined that the factory piece (the emblem, surround, and bar running behind it) is part of the bumper itself, not a detachable piece as on other 3 models. So, this isnt just an easy 'paint and swap' job.

You would basically have to cut that part from the factory bumper and find a way to mount/fiberglass this new piece in it's place, then probably get it all resprayed to look like a single piece again.

Well if it'd have to be cut, then I'll keep waiting. The whole front bumper is what I'd like to replace, but not with the AutoEXE one. Dunno about you guys but I don't like the relocation of fog lights, and I think VoiceKoil was saying it came with a silly mount for front plate - no front plates, no!

In time, we'll see what there is..

Is your Mazda a '07 or an '06? I don't think they have come out with an '07 badgless grille, so be careful with what you buy. I'm still waiting for an '07 myself. I already tood the badges off the back and covered the holes with 3/18" vinyl custom stickers.

Damn i was hoping the autoexe grill worked, i really liked the badgeless one bar look.

His mazda is definitely a 07, he has a mazdaspeed3 and there's a front grille already out for the speed3, some of the main sponsors have them for sale on their websites ... hope that didnt come out too harsh ... hehe ^-^

Yes, but if you look at the Mazda USA website and also the Speed Accessory brochure, you will find that in the find print that the badgeless grill is for the '06 Mazda, if you have a website that is selling '07 grilles, than let me know. No offense taken and none meant(chair)

AutoEXE bumper

japanparts.com has the AutoEXE bumper for $575, instead of $719 were I have seen on other web sites.

ummmmm yes you're correct about the mazda website, but thats not the one he wants, the one he's looking at is from autoexe ...

Does anyone have the grill for the speed 3? I'm curious as to how it installs? Has anyone seen this in real life yet? I hate to be the first when it comes to body work that I can't do on my own.

Seems like no one has it yet. If it were simple bodywork, I'd go for it, but the stock grill would definitely have to be cut. As I said, the whole bumper is not an option right now, for various reasons. There just need to be more options.

Heh, maybe in a couple of years I'll have some custom fabrication done on the front end - once I don't have the hassle of car payments to deal with. or maybe not; I just love un unmarked car that most people don't quite recognize. I've got silly dreams for this car anyway, but we'll see in time if they are at all realistic.

By the way, Craighjr, I love those wheels! I'm going to get those same wheels next spring, when the stock tires are bald and need replacing.

Thanks I may man up and buy that grill. Just so you know the wheels were 415 each at a local mazda dealer.
