Wheel Spacers: Any interest?

yeah but remember that i'm using bigger in front and a bit smaller size spacers in the rear , will that kinda mess up my car ?????

as far as deal what the best you can do for my request ?????
lmk

Might create a slightly greater propensity to oversteer... but it's not going to cause you need to be re-aligned any more often. You may need to tweak some alignment settings to keep the car neutral, but it's not going to make any real difference... and the difference is also small so it's minor regardless.. not like you are creating a rake of a couple inches in track between the two ends... lots and lots of autocrossers run very very wide front setups and narrow back setups on Honda's and so forth for the modified classes and so forth without issue.

what size spacers are you going for you're self ?? and what studs size you gonna use ??

the reason i don't wanna use different lug nuts is that the one i have are matching the rims and have the lock nut for each tire thats kinda rare around so finding another one would be a headache.

now when you try in your's see if for 1/4"spacers you could use the stock studs , I know for 3/8" spacers i'll need longer studs but see if you can get the proper one not something that'll stick out like an arrow .

I'm probably going to end up with 1/8 and 5/16" spacers and I'm putting ARP's all the way around and cutting them down to the right size for my setup so I can keep my special lugs as well. I'm largely going to the studs though as well because my studs take a LOT of abuse with constantly having wheels and tires on and off with switching rims for every race etc.. so I want to make damn sure I don't crack a stud when racing...

how much longer is this going on? i installed my other set of rims last night, gonna do some measuring tonite and probably order too

I can't answer this accurately right now because we have no other orders for the 3/8" spacers... so your set would be the only ones cut which means the price will not be favorable for us at all. So until i actually cut those I won't know for sure my exact cost on them and can't tell you what I could discount or not... Keep in mind that we run margins UNDER 25% in pretty much all cases... some of these spacer sets have margins under 10%... so think about it.. 40 dollar spacers we make 4 bucks... so I could give you a buck or two off but what good does that really do any of us??? so again, my point being there isn't enough history on this product for us to know what we can or can't do completely yet... I kept the margins low and am simply doing what I can to help where I can on pricing.

This will become a "standard" product for us.. so they'll be available whenever. I'm buying batches right now, and if we find that the pricing goes down more than expected or something (It hasn't at all so far we are finding) then we'll bump more back to people that buy etc...

what's the biggest i could go while still using my stock studs? 1/8? 3/16?

depends on your rim's seat thickness. the only way to "know" for sure is to take a lug off, measure how much engagement you have, and then subtract from that the spacer value. If you have at least 1/2" still, then you "SHOULD" be okay.

got a few in today... need to sort out what I need and will try to get some shipped out right away if I can.

Fit is nice and snug and matched to the hub as you can see.. the 3 you see in my hands are the 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4 spacer which is the 3 sizes I have on hand right now.. more are coming next week.

here are some pics for you guys..

thanks!

Steve

they look nice , the spacers fill the whole area of the brake disc that's covered by the wheel ?? just wondering

Yep, there is about a 1/32" lip where the brake hub is bigger than the spacer, but that's about as much of a mismatch as is there.

Couple of questions just out of personal interest.

There's concern that using spacers may result in premature wheel bearing failure--but I can't see how it's any different than using a lower-offset wheel. Is it?

I've been thinking about getting 16x6.5+55 '07 Miata wheels for my P5. But I'd need about 15mm less offset there--are spacers stackable?

really, you would only want a 5mm spacer to match up with the stock pro5 offset of 50 - then, no problems

Stacking "shouldn't" be an issue, but you'd use as few as you want to.

And yes you are exactly correct on the wheel bearing thing.... lower offset makes it the same difference.... and why I typically discount it as a non issue, but it's what some people will bring up, so I wanted you to hear my side of it before somebody comes on and makes it sound like impending disaster, when as I said, I've never heard of any actual instance of it happening.
