Click on "Fit My Car" or whatever the similar link is. Expect to spend $300-500, depending on how many bikes, if you want to carry skis, etc. Well worth it if you ride more than twice a month, and/or have a bike you don't want getting messed up.
I have a Saris roof rack for my car. I bought it for the P5, but it happens to fit the MS3 just fine. Just don't crank it down too much, and clean the feet before you put it on your roof. Never had a problem, never left a mark. And, IMO, it looks pretty damn cool with the fairing in front.
I really like the Saris roof racks better than the Thule and Yakima racks. There is a lot of though put into their design.
I have a Saris that I bought for my Passat, now have an MS3. The Saris site says that the loadbars will fit on the Mazda3 hatch, but I'm not sure if my loadbars are long enough yet. Need to try installing it.
Anyway, they are lesser known that the other two mentioned racks, but they are really nice racks and they are very simple to install/remove. I highly recommend them.
a guy had a picture of a bike or a canoe i think...looked pretty funny but he said it works fine on the car...it was on the roof. you cna probably find something for the hatch to jsut hang the bike like some buses have racks in the front for bikes.
I was bummed when I found out my Saris load bars from my other car wouldn't fit on my Speed3. Just so happens the clips are the same, but the loadbar is about 2" too short.
