so yeah, my friend has an eclipse GSX.. it has upper intercooler piping, greddy type-s, and some sort of restricter removed.... before I boosted up,, we would race from a 15 punch and he would immediatly pull 1.5 on me before we get to 2nd gear... after that,, not even funny....I usually stopped after first gear...

however,, I raised myboost to 9.5'ish.. we raced from a roll 3 times tonight... (15mph again)... totally different story...

we were ASS even the entire race.. I would pull,, he would pull.. until we put it into 4th,, then I would pull about half a car on him,, then we stopped at 100mph.... same story every race...

he is really mad... I am DAMN happy.... 9.5 psi makes a world of difference.. just another testimony....

and kyle if you read this,, if you want to beat me,, we can race from a launch and you will kill me man... AWD owns me from a launch....

Solid 10

Mine runs way better now. I'm at a solid 10 with short spikes to around 12 for a split sec. It is like a whole new car.
1st gear can be useless and it takes great discretion to launch but man when you get it right it's a THANG of beauty.
The boost comes on early and strong and holds the WHOLE damn time now until shift. 10-10-10 yes it pulls well, it pulls strong. About 2500 RPM I slip the clutch, press the throttle down smoothly and man it just has a sweet linear pull 1st vooosh bam, 2cnd vooosh bam, 3rd etc. rinse and repeat.

I ordered FPR by Joe P but I don't install it yet. I wait for my MBC by Hallman .
I think when if I boost to 9.5 or 10psi the stumbles/hesitation will disappear, is it right?

or with/without MBC the stumbles/hesitation will be there ?

I know the FPR reduce or eliminate the stumbles......but if Mazda find a solution.....

NOW ADD AN EXHAUST,TURBO-BACK!

I just turned my boost up this week ,and yes I totally agree that at 9psi the car is a whole different beast!I also have a 2.5" D/P W/no cats in it mated up to the stock exhaust!YES IT FLY'S NOW!:D

SuperSpud its stories like that, that make me want to get a MBC. So far, Ive heard nothing but good things about people who got their MBC. Has anyone heard any horror stories yet? If not, looks like Im going to have to look into getting one as well.

So you say its like a new car huh?

I know!, sounds crazy; but one of the members here did just that!
,,,,,,that's taking a hell of a chance. He thought the Fuel cut-off was a good enough gauge for starters. (chair)

arg! more things to buy. Oh well, sounds well worth it though.

Guess I'll be searching boost gauge threads next. :D

My parts wish list just keeps growing:

HKS Type 1 TT US Spec
Boost Gauge
MBC
CAI

I ordered the Pro RX because my dealer will honor my warranty If I can't "turn up the boost" by inside and if is my dealer install my MBC. I know its very easy to install, but for only 65$CAD(installation cost by my dealer) to keep my warranty !
