I am a little confused and would like some advice please.... My car (MPS 6) had been remapped and was running well at 302hp and boost would peak at about 20psi before holding steady at 18psi WOT. I recently installed an OCC, boost gauge and had a custom made exhaust installed (2.5inch) with the 2nd cat removed.
Now during WOT boost peaks at about 18psi then drops to between 15-16psi and also runs slightly richer and I cannot work out why! I have checked & tightened all hose clamps and they seem okay. Vacuum pressure at idle has not changed at all. It works out that I have lost nearly 30hp up top!
The guy at the tuning shop says he believes it to be the exhaust that is being restrictive and advised to change to a 3inch system! Is it more than likely to be a boost leak?
I can post a Dashhawk log if its easier to digest, what paramaters should I log?
My mods, other than the above, include ETS TMIC, PG TIP, AEM CAI, Denso ITV22's. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
