What did U Pay?

I am going to buy my S. Orange Speed on the 5th, I am wondering what you all paid for yours? I just want to know what I could get the dealer down to. What I want to do is pay 1500 down, 1.9%, and get it for 19,000 with ttl included. Would that be possible or is that just way to low? Let me know what you guys paid. Thanks in advance.

That's a great price and welcome to the forum!

Try the search button up top. This is popular question and I have seen 19k,21.5k and everything in between.

If you are at a small dealership that only has one MSP, expect to pay full( the one i went to lie that was selling for $23,500). If you go to a busier, larger dealership, it is much easier to negotiate. Def. do what you can to keep the APR down though. I'm getting rapes on mine...7.9%. I need to refinance it through a credit union next month for 2.99%. Thats the best I have found so far. Good luck. Oh, and keep in mind, you need to be firm with your ideas...Show any signs of weakness, and they will jump on you. Tell them what you want to pay, or you're not buying one.

Welcome to the Forums! I am a newbie also, but anyways, from what I have experienced that would be rock bottom price. My dealer and I negotiated for a good 3 days and go the car for 19,100 without tax, title, registration, financing, or plates. I think your expectations of 19,000 out the door are way to low. Basically, your hoping to get the car around 17,000 which would be well below the MSRP of 20,500. Anyways, maybe I am wrong, but then again, its just what I have read and experience. Dont be afriad to haggle

Oh yeah, dont be afriad to walk out the door, trust me, the next day they will be calling to see how they can get your money. Make then want you to buy, not the other way around

20100 out the door.

do some arguing, walk out

next day expect a call. deny the price they give because its not what you want.

next day get a call, expect to pick up the car =p

There was a dealer around me offering them for $16,900... but... they had hail damage and were black. Don't think they have any left, and NJ is a distance from MN.

If you get it for that price, great! Just don't let them gouge you in interest rate or anything else that increases the cost. Going car finance rates are around 4-5% flat out, with incentives getting them down around 2 (or 0) - your expectation of that deal WITH the 1.9 raate may be unreasonable. Tell them what your offer is, and if it's a penny higher you won't take it. BE FIRM. Do be prepared to walk though, and possibly not get the car. Better, test drive a WRX - to the Mazda dealer. Park it next to the MSP, then negotiate. They're more likely to give you what you want if you let them know (in a subtle way) that they have competition (even if you don't want the Subie). If you can't do that, get a business card from teh Subie dealer and excuse yourself (briefly) before the sales guy finishes his pitch - tell them that you can't stay long, that the Subie (or other) dealer is expecting you for your appointment for a test drive.

Also drive the Mini - they're really super cool, and you can get one reasonably equipped for that price. Even the base Mini is a TON of fun to drive - drives like a go-kart (drive one before you flame this post).

Oh - the Mazda "S" plan is the plan they have for Maxda suppliers. Tell the dealer you're probably eligible and ask what their "S" plan price is., They may give it to you even if you don't have an "S" plan card or code - weither way it's good information to have. The "S" plan applies to all products - don't believe them if they tell you it doesn't apply to the MSP.

Oh - and Orange is "last year's color" (to them - I really like it) so they should be willing to deal, what with the 2003.5's coming out

Pricing on Mazdaspeed Protege 2003.5

I just picked up a 2003.5 Titanium Grey Mazdaspeed Protege for $19,500. They also gave me an extra $1,000 on trade for my Protege5. Dealership just changed hands and they needed to sell 18 cars before the first which was great for me seeing how before they wouldn't come off sticker a dime.

I have bought the hail damaged speed 2 1/2 months ago. 16,900. out the door for 17,353

My brother who sold me the car bought a TI 2003.5 three weeks
ago.

We have a perfect garage.
