But we are leaving on good terms!
(inout)

I have NEVER owned a vehicle as long as I have my 2006 Mazda5. I still love it, and I will probably regret it, but I need something else with a little more spunk.

Just tested the MAZDA6 Manual and I think I am in love again... (eekdance)

I am currently using ebay and craigslist at the moment, is there anyplace else that you look for cars I should put the Mazda5 on?(uhm)

They got some awesome cash rebates on the 2013's now or good financing terms.
Put is here, maybe someone will want one :)

If you're looking to get into a Mazda6, I would wait at least until they bring the diesel to the US. By all reports, this engine paired with the manual tranny will be a fabulous combo. It should put the 2.5 Sky-g to shame in terms of mileage and performance. Not only that, but if you wait till the diesel comes out, you may get a better deal on an end-of-year Sky-g model. And by all accounts the interior of the new Mazda3 is phenomenal, better than the previous year's Mazda6, and ought to filter into the new 6 in the next year or so. How much do you stand to lose on trade-in or private sale if you wait another 10-12 months? Given that I know the Sky-diesel is coming, there's no way I'd spring for the Sky-g now.

Last year I posted my 2004 Corolla on autotrader.com for sale. I did this along with posting in local craigslist and local papers. The only thing autotrader was good for was sending scammers my way. Autotrader is really meant for dealers to sell cars. I was the only private sale for a Corolla in the state of VT on autotrader and it was essentially useless for me. I would not waste your money on this service.

www.autotrader.com is still popular for selling cars, though its not free it gets the best results IMO.

Don't fall for the "newer is better"! J/K.

Sad to see an original and one of our more technically inclined members go :( But the new Mz6 is a very nice car and as stated above the diesel is the one to get (bonus if wagon came back).

GLWS and watch out for tire kickers!

I've been trying to sell the SRX in my sig for a few months now and Autotrader is the ONLY places where I got realistic/interested parties. Craigslist is only good for cars less than $2k or a crap load of spam and tire kickers that will only insult you with retarded low balls. I'm deciding if I should just sell the Fit or Mz5 instead and keep the SRX.

Man, 2013 SRX, why sell that, must be a nice ride and just bought it :)
I'm sure a dealer will buy it back at a great discount.
I find CL is hit and miss. I stopped including my phone number in numbers and get lots of spam texts now. I just use a mixture of letter and spelled out numbers to avoid idiots spamming my cell.
But yes, most ppl on CL want a deal of the century at least.

Well, my Mazda5 has finally went on to a new family...

Some notes to remember about my personal experience...

A. Thanks to Mazda never advertising this car, almost nobody knows what this car is... When I advertised it as a mini van, people who came to view it were upset...expecting something the size of a Sienna or Odyssey.

B. I got a few leads off of CRAIGSLIST, but I ended up also getting tons of spam, as well as fake buyers trying to buy while stationed on a ship in the gulf, in addition to Nigerian royalty, and Folks wanting to help me advertise.

C. Nearly everyone wanted to haggle the price without seeing the car first. I refused and politely responded "Wouldn't you like to see the car first before you make an offer?".

I can see why some folks would take the financial hit and just trade it in.

That all being said, I am so happy I finally did find a perfect home for her, with a wonderful new family, where she will be revered and admired in much the same way.

So sad to see it drive off...(sad2)

Sad to see you move on to a different part of the Mazdas247 forum. Adieu.

Understand the need for more power. Been wanting the power, refinement, Swiss-Army-like features and highway gas mileage of my V70 T5 mixed with the space, sliding doors, steering feel, turning radius and city mileage of the Mazda5.
Swaybars and Koni yellows helped the suspension of the V70, but the turning radius is nearly that of my Ram truck. Not willing to go through the hassle of customizing the under-hood parts of the 5 since I keep braking plastic parts with minimal effort and the hood, door latches and roof clear coat went to the dogs. Oh, and black interior in AZ...
So I love that the 5 is paid for and makes a great runabout for a family of 6, but when its time to road trip, it stays home and watches the house.
