I'm looking to buy an MSP soon and was wondering if there're any mechanical differences between the 2003 and the 2003.5

Nope.....they are all the same. The only differnece is looks and the exhaust. Welcome aboard man!!

03 has slightly diff exhaust , sparco name on shifter and pedals,
diff wing , and fog lights
im pretty sure there the same under the hood , dunno if the 03.5
wing or front actually changes performance any might weigh about 15 pounds less

Stiffer pedal, the clutch itself is the same.

stiffer clutch yes, pedals, stitching in shift boots seats, wings, front air dam, rear fascia, different wheels, different colors, floormats, and 03.5 +03.7 are the same so 03 are rarer

Ok ok. So which do you suggest then? I guess I could get the 2003 for a little less. I'm not really hyped about the stiff clutch in the 2003.5 either. I did test drive the 2003.5. Also, I've read an article about how the transmission in the MSP is weak therefore the low stock HP output. Does that hold any truth?

its all preference on looks.

I like the 03 better. but 03.5 have some nice colors.
