Stock Height Aftermark Suspension Option?

Hi all,

So I would like to change my Protege5's handling a little to make the way to work more enjoyable. I was looking to put a stiffer rear sway bar, then I found out I can't do that because the stock rear shocks does not have enough support for a stiffer bar. So I started looking for the shocks. (Tokico Blue seems good) I then thought if I am to change the shocks, likely a bit stiffer than stock, I might as well change out the spring. BUT, I don't want to lose the ride height, as I don't want to alter the car's exterior appearance and I do rallycross once in awhile.

Anyway. Is there even an aftermarket spring (better to be progressive as this is for daily driver) that is a little stiffer than stock, but retain the stock ride height?

Thanks!

You rally a protege?

Any way racing beat lowers it about 3/4 of an inch if that. For a regular spring that's all you can do to not go lower . You can go with adjustable springs but $400 for those plus 400-500 for tokico blues and you would be better off just getting coilovers

Hmm that sucks. I guess I have to go lower then :P
I think I saw somewhere that Mazdaspeed Protege shocks are Tokico Blues? Maybe I will just make a Mazdaspeed Protege5

Yea once in awhile I will go to the rallycross. It's 4 hours away so it is a little hard, but it is tons of fun! I haven't really got into the sport as I don't have a garage...which makes it hard for rallycross lol because things break. I have a rx8 for autocross, which I attend more often.

Yes msp and mp3 came with tokico blues, racing beat springs and front and rear racing beat sway bars

Thanks for the information! Nice stuffs. I guess I will just see if I can find some msp owner's dump suspension :P
