Anyone else notice squeaking belts once and a while? or like the fan for the motor sounds like it is not lubricated?.. this happens to me once or twice... but i looked at my belts and they are as tight as can be... think maybe because its the temp?... just thought i would ask around, see who else notices this....

The only thing sqeaky on the inside of my car is when I have the vents set for floor and it's set at the #2 position. Then again thats more of a whistling noise it makes. And it's not belt derived.

You might have some moisture in your engine. Usually moisture will cause belts to sqeak. It should go away soon after the ignition is on and idled for a bit.

yeha i had my pwr sterring pump replaced and my belts are now squeaky...it onl reallly happens when it is cold out and i am at 4k...any suggestions??

I have horribly squeeky belts, anytime its cold an damp out.

Unlike most everything else on earth, rubber shrinks when it gets warmer. With the frigid weather that's been going around, it's quite likely that some belts might need a bit of adjustment. Jim

I see the screw to adjust the main belt but how do you adjust the belt for the alternator.

My seatbelts use to squeak but after a small small squirt of lithium grease, nothing!

You can buy a $1.50 can of belt spray from most automotive shops that is made to stop squeaky belts when it's damp / cold out.

my seat belt dealio that raises the height where it comes out of the side squeaks when its cold :(
