does 1.5" actually lower the msp? because the stock suspension is lower than normal protege. I'm trying to balance everything because i'm going to get the autoexe lip and I don't want to scratch on speed bumps. 2" seems a little too much but makes it so there is no wheel gap at all, looking at the pics.

it goes by the car you are getting the springs for, if you have the mazda speed or mp3 they take into consideration the drop. you should be fine with a 1.5 inch drop thats nothing drastic at all.

Tein Coilovers. That way, it's adjustable as to how you like it. Plus Teins have a very good reputation as far as quality products.

i got da spools and there is neg wheelgap in front, it looks AWESOME. def no way i could squeeze on a lip on the front tho, it will already scrape curbs if i pull too far up

I have a 2'' SPOOL drop and AUTOEXE lip and I think it looks dope. It completely changes the appearance of your stance. I do scrape sometimes, but not that often and not major. You just need to be aware of your environment. Most applications (springs, or coil-overs) are too low to clear speed bumps or curbs anyway. With a 1.5 drop you will still be able to fit 2 fingers in the wheel well. Not low enough for me.

here is some advice don't go cheap on suspension. ive got a 95 delsol that i put areospeed coilovers on and now i literally come out of my seat when i hit a bump on the hiway. save up and go tein a friend of mine put them on his ser spec v and it looks better but the more impresive parts is the improved trust me from experiense if you don't get a full coilover save your stock springs so you can go back when your teath start to fall out

I went with SPOOL because I have heard nothing but good from fellow protege owners and Terry himself. I am more than happy with the SPOOL drop and ride quality.
