Speaker Installation Questions...

I just purchsed 5x7 replacements (Alpine Type-R) for the front. The depth that they have listed is 2.75". Some people say they will fit, some don't. They come with a .25" spacer ring for the mount. If I use this will I be able to get the door back on without noticing anything different and will that allow me enough depth?

Yes with the spacer you'll be fine

you MUST use the spacer ring or the window will hit your speakers when you roll them down....

all you need to double check the seal ring on the INSIDE of the door panel....it MAY be too long with the spacer under the new speakers...if its too long.....just trim off the proper amount and you are good to go.
