Solo II Test and Tune results

Well, with a large 11 car GS class (Largest class of event) I finished third, but I have an excuse! I took passengers all day. I finished .8 seconds behind on a 46 second course.
We had about 20 first timers, and I took 6 different people for rides, and still got third!.
As it was a test and tune, a buddy had an older Saab that he was having trouble getting to do what he wanted, so he asked me to run it for him. I had never driven it before, and the whole clutch/shifter/brake setup was sloppy and slow, but I turned in a lap .35 seconds faster than his best of the day, and left about 1-2 seconds still out there. It was kinda fun driving someone elses car!
Oh yeah, the cars that beat me were a 2.5 RS Subie and a Neon ACR (With cage and camber bolts). It's cool though. I was just letting them think they had something on me before the points events start. :)

Oh, and on PAX, I got 4th out of 74 for the day.

Hey man, congrats. How was the course? weather?

The course was awesome. The guy who designed it makes some really good, technical and fast courses. The weather was decent. A little cool in the morning, but hit the mid 60s for abou tan hour. My tires would have preferred the 80's, but their time will come this summer. :)

Awesome. This is going to be the year of the protege in Solo II!

:D :D :D

i've gotten a lot of compliments on the Pro's performance so far in Philly region (notice (lol) no compliments on MY performance!!)...a Pro has won H-Stock every event so far.

too bad no philly MSPs or MP3s show up. :(

There are MSPs running out here in Norcal :) Well, me, anyway ;)

BTW, both my wife and I appear in the newest "NA Pylon" magazine driving the MSP...

Locally, a STS P5 won its class on Sunday, and I managed second in STX with NO mods.... Proteges are healthy out here. Come visit ;)

GS? Not FSP? Well, awesome driving cjstringer. What tires are you using to help get those wins? Did you do fairly well with your OEM Dunlops back then?

My event is coming up this weekend and I'm letting one of the more experienced guy in our club drive my car through the EXTRA heat. I want to see if he can pull some decent time with my car.... obviously, I can't do the job right now with my skillzzzzz.
