Ok, folks, tonight we were meeting at a local car hotspot and up pulls a Scion Tc, mind you there was like 15 proteges all lined up, so he circles twice then pulls into a space close to us to chat. Ok, I know it some peoples chioce to rice out their car, but this guy went overboard. Here's some pics and you tell me. Matt, I promised you I would post them, here they are. Scion Tc on Motegi 20s. *Disclaimer* any reference used in this thread refering to gay is like ha-ha not like homosexual. Would you look at the ride height of that thing, to see it in person was very funny. And the wing...come on man.

Cmon man..i know that dude. i met him this summer. he used to have a bad ass orange 300Z TT. dont be so harsh on him hes a cool guy. and the car is pretty quick...even tho its not to our liking. i didnt know they were 20's tho...dam. he told me 2 weeks ago he was gonna get soem wheels, but i didnt know they were gonna be 20's.

its not my style and if I wanted my car to look like a truck I wouldn't have put 16's on it ,but thats just my taste. I dont bash him for doing it, but I dont really care for it

Take off the wing and decals and drop the wheels size an inch or two and I'd hit the s*** out of it.

Damn, htose are some really nice rims. Bad size, but damn nice design.

^^^thats what i was thinking. not bashing the guy for wanting to make his car his own but he could have been much more tasteful in his choice of design options. that wing does absolutly nothing, get rid of it. don't put stickers on your car for things you don't have and there is a limit on how many you should have. and yes the scion is not sold in japan, so lose the plate. and i was thinking the same thing about the wheels. they look nice, need a different center cap, but they are just too big. no one i know that actually races has a 20" rim on their car. just tooo damn heavy especially with the stock brakes. put the same rim in a 17 or 18 and drop the car about 2" and it would look much better

hey I am not trying to bash him too hard, I am sure he is a pretty cool guy, I just think, like most people that he made some really bad chioces with his car, that is in fact pretty damn fast and I personally think looks really nice stock. Sometimes people need to have things pointed out to them and maybe they'll see the light too. That car has a lot of potential, they are really clean and then you can add some parts to make them really nice, but not this time. I agree with all of the advice given here to this guy and I would like to see him take some of it, I would even help him if he wanted it, but I know everybody has their own tastes, mine are much much different, but I mean no ill feelings toward this guy, just his car.

he wrecked the Z awhile ago and bought the tc. And i think he bought it with the wing/ and most of the decals on it already. i think the wheels are nice. if he would drop it it would look soo nice, and subtract the wing and decals.

Even if he put really nice coilovers on it he wouldn't be able to get that car low enough to look good on those rims, they are just to big! He would have to roll his fenders and tuck a lot of wheel to bring that ride height down. Now if he gutted the fenders and put some bags on it he could do it and he would have a nice show car, minus the decals and wing. I was looking at new tCs today with my wife at Roswell Toyota, I do like them. But eighteen inches might be the limit.
