RSX Type-S...Not as fast as it seems

Just got back from racing a brand new RSX Type-S. It had a cat-back exhaust and probably an intake. So I'm just driving the speed limit in the right lane of a two lane road and he comes roaring by me, pulls in front of me and puts his 4-ways on. I was like are you joking. So of course the next light turns red. Pulled up next to him, he was a cool guy, I told him he had a nice car and then he asked me if mine was stock, which it is. I took off at about 2k rpm and then hear him rev and pop the cluitch and his tires screem. I had him all the way up to 70 mph. Once agian the next light turns red. He pulls up next to me and says, "yea you got me." Then I ask him if it was a Type-S and he says yes. I was shocked. This time the road was flat, so from 3k rpm I slip the clutch a little, no tire spin and I'm gone. Once agian I hear the VTEC at 6k and tires screeming. I let off at 40 mph becuase my radar detedtor went off, of course it was a false alarm. It just feels good beating a car with more horsepower. Not to toot my own horn or anything but this win was all driver

Nice kill The Type-s and MSP is a good match. One race I would always enjoy.

Even though I did see a MSP lose to a Type-S twice at the track.

I raced one on the highway today, it was pretty heavly modded with intake, exhaust, lowered, nicely done up, well suffice to say once i hit 90 i began to pull away pretty fast. Just keep it quiet about my 10psi of boost...

Good kill, and i do think a race between the 2 is 95% the take off, get a jump on him, and you're gone.

Even if this thread was to be posted on the RSX forum's, they wouldn't believe that the MSP could take a RSX-S, they are i-Vtec rice head's. Also notice that Yellowspeed17 is bone (STOCK), and he beat a Type-S with Intake/Exhaust. Imagine how much more yellowspeed17 would have beaten him with a Cat-back and the Injen CAI!!!! although both car's are pretty fast (STOCK). Good Kill

Like Zooooooom said, it's ALL about take off. The cars are almost equal with the RSX having a little edge.

The RSX Type-S also ran a 14.2 w/ intake and exhaust, but he looked like an excellent driver.
