Resize a picture

How do you resize a pic smaller to fit in the avatar?

You could use MS Paint, Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, etc. There are also a bunch of free utilities out there that will take a picture and convert it to a thumbnail (smaller pic). Check out download.com for that one.

For MS Paint, choose Image -> Stretch/Skew and select a percentage and hit OK. If it's not the size you want, choose Edit -> Undo and repeat.
