Raced A Turbo Mp3!!!!!!!!!!

well i finally got race an turbo mp3 on the freeway last knight!! i stayed ahead by maybe a half a car, till about 100+ but the mp3 started to inch up on me. l was pretty impressed with my pro !! patrick 's car ran good, the boost is definitely a good feeling. hope u made it back ok.

Yep, you know it! The funny thing is I was an unsuspecting victim due to the fact that I didn't know he had it until he showed me at his house. He was driving his wifes black ES. A few times when we were cruising, he would just nail it and get up the road, and I didn't think anything of it since I thought he was just having fun on the highway, I would wait, and then pursue. And then when we lined up, he hit it, and so did I. He was ahead, so I didn't think I'd have to push it to pass him, but he just stayed right there...:wtf: So I naild the gas and wined out 4th, shifted up to 5th, and started pulling away. We got to a stoplight I was all like, "You gotta pop the hood...Somthin ain't right!" His settup is something I never seen before. He had his NOS directly into the Fuel Rail. Thanks man once again for the hospitality, and knowledge!

P.S. Yeah, ya got me good on that one (laugh)

patio... you would NOT be able to keep up.... these guys are fast... i mean.. your quick.. but you said it yourself in the other thread... "all i have is an intake right now" and your 75 wont be able to keep up with either one of them without more power coming from the engine... if you had that, the 75 shot would be a good booster to help keep up... but as of right now your almost stock + NOS...

and btw.. i am not talking s*** at all.. with your NOS shot you could probably beat me in the MP3... all i've got is an intake and test pipe.. but i just dont think you would stand a chance against either of them

patio, i looked for u about three weeks ago at bay area. i waited by ur car to talk to u. i wanted to meet u, and maybe race. why race w/o nitrous it is deffintly a race i will lose, the object is to win!!!! if i had the 75 back in it would be very intersting. i took it out be for i went to miss. and alabama. didn't want to take a chance. it is only a 50 now. i apperently must be scared to take it to the track because i haven't yet and the track will be closed soon. i will be madd at myself if i miss it. i need to put the other motor in. i have been dragging my ass on it.

Think of N20 as a huge steady application of torque. It isn't a very harsh "rush" of power or anything. You will definitely know it's there, but movies and such have made it appear to be something it's not.

A 75 Wet shot in a Protege would be pretty damn impressive I imagine. When I ran a 75 Dry shot in my truck, it was quick enough to make a ~3800 hulk of metal run 14's... (Granted, the drivetrain wasn't stock) With the 150 shot I am running mid 13's on street tires, and so far a 13.2 on slicks. N20 is a good way to go fast for a little while, but overall the crap gets too damn expensive. I could have a twin turbo setup by now in the money I spent on getting the damn bottle refilled and changing spark plugs. Turbo is the way to go for the long run, but don't be misled, N20 can make you damn fast if done correctly.

no.. not at all... its good info.. like i said.. i've never squeezed so i dont know details and i dont really know anything about tuning the system and bottle size and whatnot...

When I had the 50 shot for the 2 days my engine survived, It felt similar to my turbo, but not as fast. A 75 shot would probably be close to what I have now.
