Please dont get confused..
i am working on my girls 01' Mazda Protege. when i noticed that the pcv Valve was plugged into the motor using DUCK TAPE!!! of course, i pulled it out to take a better look, and then it wouldnt plug back in. :/
i ended up ordering a new grommet and when the car was drivin with the pcv valve dangling, the engine light came on. (is this normal to occur when the pcv valve is not plugged in?)
I finally got the GROMMET and installed the pcv valve into it. (Now everything is as it should be) -- but the ENGINE LIGHT is still ON.
should disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and plugging it back in reset this light? and hopefully it shouldnt come back on??????
i just figured i should ask.. doesnt hurt..
